thanks for the help on the quick launch applet
got the shortcuts i wanted and it was pretty easy to edit the .desktops

1. app-man
2. open xterm in root
3. default clock settings
4. overclock to 850mhz

really nice theme especially after a few mods for a personal touch ;)
...alba font, transparent status area, new menu icons(i decided on a windows theme cause i couldn't think of anything lol)

ahhh problem
because of the scripts/.desktops created, there are unwanted icons on my menu.
is there a way to hide these?

That's a VERY NICE mod, thanks a lot!!! But there is a small problem :)
Overclocked and Extreme modes don't work for me! A terminal opens but it closes and the overclock doesn't work? What have I done wrong? Terminal as root works, default too!

have you downloaded titans kernel and settings? if so...

the overclock buttons do work, the terminal is supposed to close. after try this line in the terminal while root to see your clock settings

" kernel-config show "

I think I got what's wront...
Could someone send me a copy of his LV and ULV in kernel-power-settings? Mines are f*cked up, set to 250-600 and I don't know why lol...
That's the reason why it doesn't work!!!

thats the stock default clock speed.
download 'Enhanced Linux Kernel for power users' and 'Enhanced Linux Kernel for power users (settings)' via the application manager, then you're good to go.

Well, I tried that, and even after selecting Extreme, kernel-config show shows 250-600... :(

Hey buddy, in order to make these buttons work, you need to make kernel configurations that match the parameters set with the desktop provided in the zip file from dscobsct. In the file there is a read me .txt file. Go through it, as it will help you understand a bit better what he talks about. I didn't use his settings for mine, because I have been using Titan's ideal profile and it works great for me. If I want to be more adventurous, I change the limits to 1GHz or 1.15GHz, but they are both based on the ideal profile.

You need to save the the new kernels for the script;

In xterm:

sudo kernel-config load lv <enter>

sudo kernel-config limits 250 805 <enter>

sudo kernel-config save lv8 <enter>

And then you have the first one. If you want other values just type the ones you want, but still save the file as dscobsct named the .desktop files, then you don't have to change them aswell, if don't save them under the same name as dscobsct it won't work ;)

For the other one just load ulv and set limits and then save as ulv59 :D Should do the trick...

As promised here are the PowerKey Icons..

Place the .png icons into usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon

Place the 2 .xml files in etc/systemui

now reboot your device to see the new icons in the power key menu.

*note* applying this mod will remove some of th default options from the PowerKey menu, the options shown in the screenshot are what you will get unless you tweak the systemui.xml file yourself.

OK I've just recently uninstalled Catorize as it was munching CPU cycles (and as a result battery life), but the one thing I miss from it is the bug that doubles up your application shortcuts- which meant I could have my phone shortcut on more than one desktop.

I found a small wiki entry here:

Use the same shortcut twice on the desktops can be useful. In order to do it, you have to manually modify appropiate .desktop file by adding the "X-Multiple=true" entry into the file. See Desktop file format for further information.

So is it literally a case of finding the .desktop file for the phone app in /usr/share/applications/hildon/ and adding X-Multiple=true to it?

Not trying to give you any extra work, but is it possible to get the text in the tabitha font? Because this is the font i've installed on my N900. But offcourse no problem if it's in the standard font!

I'd also like to take a minute to thank everyone here who's patient with the noobs :P I wasn't familiar with Linux before buying my N900 and it's because of people here that I can use a fully hacked N900 :D

Hi im a complete noob at this , but i have managed to add a reboot button, and change the battery status icons too , now i want to remove the shadows from my icons and it wont let me, i can seem to find the actual name of the theme im using which is an-DROID, plus i was wondering if anyone can assist me with this, i think its f-ing cool

cheers for your help biggzy and may i ask white versions of the files attached ? all original alpha theme icons except 2 (wmTaskSwitcherIcon , wmTaskSwitcherIconHighlight & wmTaskSwitcherIconPressed) which i accidently overwrote so no original top use :( is only s example X or spanner part of icon to white if can do ?

@D4rKlar would it be possible to do a little request? I would like the 1200 pics you've done for the mediaplayer in a 1210 version. I know it's allmost the same turntable, but the 1210 is grey and i like that a bit more ;)

Cool mediaplayer widget, transparent, nice touch. Allso must say that theres some real artists over here in this thread and to you people keep up the good work, i just love to mod :D

Isn't the 1210 black and the 1200 silver?

Can't seem to find a pic of the 1210 grey to colourmatch, but I've darkened the 1200 icon- you'll have to let me know whether it needs to be lighter or darker for you :D

EDIT: Obviously once we get the colour right I'll re-size and re-pack ;)
