Thank you Qosmio for the B&W Ovi set. Would any of you clever guys be able to remove the green ovi off the left hand side of both the standard and B&W set? It takes up premium desktop space.

On a different note, would someone be able to list where all the backgrounds are for everything. App Manager, Media Player, Download, Applxations etc.
Could someone also advise if an easier way ? Having no idea on coding, I place my wanted icons in a folder and then copy them across as such: cp MyDocs/.documents/mods/icons/48x48/*.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon/ multiple times for each different folder. Can anyone advise how to make a simple script?

Any help would be much appreciated.

can you post the microb-improvements as a standalone file? or tell us which files to skip if we only want the microb stuff? :)

Guys,
some threads back the a few keyboard options were posted. They were advised to be posted in your theme. Where are the current items found so to replace?

What exact items mate?

EDIT: If you mean the phone icons that livil said he'd use, download the pack and the paths should all be in there.

It's a bit of a pain that the Wifi indicator doesn't also show signal strength like the cell indicator. I know there are a couple apps to show wifi strength but i was wondering if anyone has come up with a hack to replace the original wifi icon with a display of signal strength. It would really improve my N900 experience, as i wander around a lot.

Agreed- it would be nice if the original wifi icon showed signal strength.

At the mo I think we're stuck with using the status area wifi indicator mate :D

If you are able to advise where the are found I would be most appreciative. Does anyone know of a matching calculator and phone dialing pad?

I think if i remember right? they go in usr/share/share/themes/ YOUR THEME/images....

or try opt/usr/share/themes/ YOUR THEME/images....

On the page before he says they go in the YOUR THEME/images folder.

I'm a bit hesitant to specify an exact path because it varies from theme to theme... for example in Marina they would go in opt/maemo/usr/share/themes/marina/images, but say if you were using the standard blue nokia theme they'd go in opt/usr/share/themes/alpha/images so it really does depend on what you're using.

As far as I'm aware there's no matching calculator/dialpad mod like that but I'll give Grant a shout for you and see what he says ;)

Thanks both you for replying. I don't understand the ''your theme'' is this for making your own theme?
I further don't understand why the themes are kept differently, is it due to the alpha and beta being factory installed themes maybe. That said, firmware upgrades likely over right these and not the others?

No mate, 'YOUR THEME' would be the name of the theme which is currently active on your phone.

For example, where a folder YOUR THEME/images is specified then the file needs to go in the 'images' folder of your current themes main folder.

Been working on a theme of my own, based on D-Theme Aero Blue, using some elements of Black Plastic - fixes the issue of colourt differences in brightness applet and volume slider :)

Next bit is adapting this for the on-screen keyboard.

@f2thak: I don't know what you did with the microb js file, but it's working wonders for use under limited 2.5G connections on my N900.

Although I would prefer the changes to be documented. Had to manually change the addie bar related entries to support keyword search again.

Lol very nice, yes i mean like that... Could you dodge the flag a little? The one on the right is the best and the correct one if you look at the flag.

Anyway it's very nice work and i would deffently use those if you chose to make some custom smileys for my phone, well and other danes :D ;)

One thing could the flag be kind of bend around the 'ball/face' so it looks more 3D like? If not they will still be über cool.

Not sure if it matters, but the microb modifications change some questionable things.

user_pref("general.useragent.locale", "en-GB");
user_pref("general.useragent.vendor", "Firefox/3.5 Maemo Browser 1.5.6 RX-51 N900");

The latter setting may cause problems in the OVI store if they are checking the version, I'm not sure, mine has:

user_pref("general.useragent.vendor", "Firefox/3.5 Maemo Browser 1.7.4.8 RX-51 N900");

I can't find a description of the below:
microb.suspend_javascript, mine has 2, the zip has 1.
