I noticed putting these images in filebox also puts them in the photo gallery, can they be deleted to no effect or will this wipe the lock screen background/custom icons too?

i think that wil scrue/mess up you lockscreen! i'm not sure of that do! I did it tru WinSCP but i don't have them in the gallery!

Yeah i thought that too, you were right.

Btw, when i copied hicolor and themes to mydocs it kept saying unable to direct source application to destination or something? Think hicolor is backed up and moved to the computer, cancelled themes though. Is it meant to say that?

No idea mate! I tend to use SSH for bulk backups, can anyone who's used filebox for moving large folders comment?

Maybe have a nose in the filebox thread? Just google 'filebox maemo',

there is a thread on how to set it all op for you n900! install openssh server on n900
and winscp http://winscp.net/eng/docs/lang:nl on you pc

you'll need to have the IP of your N900 when connected to wifi,
xterminal;
root

If you go to the application manager and download ssh status switcher you can turn ssh on and off from the dash. It should be set to on by default but it might be worth a try?

but how you can change ,,Wifi-Switcher!,,

you will plug ,,wifi-switcher.desktop,,

Yep i turned it on, and i installed OpenSSH Client, OpenSSH Client and Server, and OpenSSH Server (those 3 are in uninstall in app manager), and it did ask for a password yes

You don't need all three Rich. Only OpenSSH Client and OpenSSH Server.

what I would do is ... Remove SSh on your N900. Reboot and then reinstall OpenSSH Client and OpenSSH Server.

remember the pass word . Also refresh your wifi connection on Pc and N900 .

Then open Winscp Don't change any settings!! make sure the "Protocol" is set to SFTP and tick SCP fallback.

Then hostname 192.168.1.7 (but yours)
Port 22
UserName Root
Password (Yours)

Guys, i've worked a lot on the gorgeous clock backgrounds provided by the great D4rKlar, the so-called nano-suite icons :)

In order to have the possibility to change the desktop background (the first version that dark gave me was a whole desktop background), i've searched for the original icon pack... and i found it :)

Then i have looked for a way to include this only-clock background in the desktop clock widget...
Not easy to do because this widget uses ONLY vectors... So i had to vectorise the png.

I've started to play with Inkscape in order to obtain a decent result .. but the complexity of the png was really too hight.. and the result was terrible.. -.-

So i realized that the best solution was simply to use the Personal Photo Frame widget to visualize the background, putting the Clock over it.

Here some different versions ... with some trasparent ones :)

PS: i have even made the Darklar clock white ... Even it is attached :)

check the dropdownmenu. there should be option to change backrounds. atleast in version 0.9-13 or later (warning! still in extras-devel)

Have you installed Desktop clock widget?
After the installation open the clock settings and de-select the box with the option "Use default theme" .
Then tap on "Custom theme" (or comething like this xD) and browse until the clock-theme folder (you have to unzip the archive first..)
At last, after opening even the theme folder, the system will say you that there are no other subdirectories... and right now you have to select the folder in which you currently are using the box at the top.

I hope to hoave been able to clarify all doubts :) ... also because at the beginning even I did't understand how to set the themes xD :D

hey guys i found how to smoother ur transitions,

go to /etc/powervr.d/hildon-desktop.ini

and change WSEGL_UseHWSync=1

then restart your phone.
