Sorry I am newbie at this. Will not make you throw something referred in the terminal. I have an issue, but I still have to correct that fault.

To make transparent backgrounds just ought to take back opacity in question.

Eh the original here:

And here the changed

But bear in mind that they are 2 files:

Normal and pressed

So with the file in question, I have set the example of the calendar widget

The files in question are in / usr / share / themes / nameoftheme / images /

MediaPlayerApplet
RSSApplet
WebShortcutAppletBackground

Others know where they are.

Threw together these quick wallpapers. Using official meego characters/ colours from the site (meego.com).

I also have the official meego font (DIN Std) too if anyone is interested? combined with Pleego (under the black plastic theme setup. by d-livil), the wallpapers, icons (posted them earlier), colours and the fonts makes the experience very meego'ish :)

Hope you like them.If anyone wants a different background colour, please tell me the RGB (hex etc) values and I'll see what I can do ;)

(The dimensions are 3200x480 so by saving them onto your phone they should automatically be displayed in the "Change Background" menu item)

awesome !

please share the font too :D

I don't want the desktop background to be transparent. I want my widgets to be transparent.
Is this possible and if yes how?

It only affects on built-in widgets that are themeable, that's why the app is called THEME customizer ;)

I tried the method from Theme Customizer and it works but only for the built-in widgets as you mentioned.

This is exactly what I was looking for but now how do I get this to work on the other widgets like ConnectNow, DCE, ip address and personal data monitor widgets?

To make it easier i've included all my mods in this post.

You will find:-
- 3 Meego theme wallpapers
- 2 Meego fonts
- Primary Meego App Logos

As suggest earlier, works best when using Pleego theme (by D-livil). His colours and other icons are superb!

Hey jaeezzy. After you posted this question, I was curious as to where this icon was stored too. I know that D4rKlar has already answered this question correctly (of course) for you, and you probably already have it sorted from that by now, but I thought I would just show you that when I changed the icon under-

usr/share/icons/hicolor/18x18/hildon/general_alarm_on

-It changed the icon that you wanted. It should be here regardless of theme I think. Anyway, here's a screenshot just to show you.

Some yes, some no.
I have been trying to get the maker of the Personal IP and Personal Dataplan monitor to rebuild their widgets with transparent backgrounds for me but they have not replied to my pm's. I understand they might be busy doing other things.
From what I have found out, it is something which has to coded into the widget prior to build. There is no png image to edit to make them clear.

Anyway, I went ahead and photoshopped Nicolai's ConnectNow widget icons so they had a transparent background. I actually di them some time ago and they might be available in an older post.

If you want them you can download them.

Edit**
They go in usr/share/icons/hicolor/96x96/hildon

You need root access to your phones files. If you plan on modifying other parts of the phone, the easiest and prob most convenient way is to use WinScp on your PC and SSH setup on the N900. Google if you need directions.

Once you can see your root directory you want to replace the icons from this directory:

/usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/hildon

If you drag and drop the icons from my post they should just replace the original so best to first make a copy of the whole folder named "hildon". This way you can go back to originals when you get bored/change your mind etc.

Let me know if you need further clarification.

Shouldn't the direcotry be:

?

Unless he's using a theme with its own images, like black plastic, in which case it'll be usr/share/theme/icons/64x64

Iīm using Pleego so i never overwrite icons (donīt think it doesn't matter), sib is a frontend for mplayer, so not everyone is interested in it.

A very kind member on the meego forum (Physalis) extracted the meego netbook logos for me. See attached. (as I could not gain root access to meego for n900).

They do need to be resized though. Hopefully they work for this purpose.

Attached a few for viewing but zipped folders have a lot more.

Update
Just went through the folders properly and these are all pretty much moblin icons.

For some mouth ago i downloaded the imagefile for meego and extracted it and there i find many icons (the ones you have here for example)
One thing that can be a "problem" with Pleego and the colorful icons in the zip is that the icons are using with catorise and such and it may look weird, but I donīt know. :)

Do you still happen to have the extracted folder with the icons? meego handset has a different library of icons from what I can see. Would be good to use those instead.

Yes, I have been looking for some icons to replace with the hildon ones now. I will have to upload the folders to megaupload because of the size of the icons:

Here are some icons, itīs a loot of icons that can be changed but it takes some time. :)
