Do any of you guys know how to add a root button and a end current task button to the power button menu?

I had the info before but now cannot find it in the threads:(

Edit as root.
File
/etc/systemui/systemui.xml
in a program like
vi
or
leafpad

You should move/remove comments around needed buttons (thus you will get "End Current Task" and "Reboot" buttons surely).

Thanks for that, i added the reboot button before and will now search the xml file for references to "end current task' and try to add.
I did have a root button before pr1.3 also the end task button but i forgot how i did it, it may have been in the wiki.
I will keep searching

You can try this command in vi:
Esc
/endcurrent

It will put cursor to the place where "endcurrent" is found.

Or in Leafpad, Menu->Search->endcurrent.

It will be
<menuitem ... name="powerup_memain_endcurrenttask">
...
</menuitem>

you should have the end current task option without any modding in your power menu

Didn't want to hijack it so here are the mods i made.

Icons, QB widgets & instructions are included in the zip file. Icons were created by D4Klar, Biggzy, qosmio and myself so enjoy!

What error message did you get? None of them work? Do you get the widgets to appear but w/out the icons? Give me some info so I can try and help.

I find it hard too read... So i was pussing the wrong button in QB eg. the one that says 'import buffer in command' :( now got the right one and they'r blinking on my desktop now! They'r beautifull and i would thank you!

My small mod...
I wanted to get a reminder each time I turn on cellular connection (say, go away from home, where I didn't need cellular, to outdoors, where cellular is the only reliable way to send/receive information).
I didn't want to install special programs for such a small task.
Therefore, I added one file, cellmosimreadytest, to /etc/event.d/.
It works when event "cellmo sim ready" is emitted.
It prints text to screen (in large green letters) with text2screen and pronounces it with espeak (do you have it installed?).
The text is taken from a file in MyDocs, so it's easy to edit the reminder.

Hi all, i have a question for the local brain trust.. I saw in one of the other threads where you increased the sizes media player buttons,,which was really nice, my question is ,,is it possible to increase the size of the album art and fonts on the desktop widget? Is it controlled by a file and does anyone know where it is...ty

I'm sure I've still got that wallpaper at home, I'll post it here after work mate.

To edit your bookmark images overwrite the existing ones (the easiest way probably being by using filebox with root access enabled) in

home/user/.bookmarks/home-thumbnails

The lockscreen Backgrounds can be found here:

/usr/share/themes/ (alpha for the blue theme and
beta for the orange theme) /backgrounds/lockslider.png

There six of them:

LockSliderBottom.png
LockSliderLeft.png
LockSliderRight.png
LockSliderThumb.png
LockSliderThumbPortrait.png
LockSliderTop.png

just make your own images an rename an copy over !

did realiz you could add images to desktop command widget , i know you can with queen beecon widget !

Dont know if its possible to change the Desktop Comand widget panel, guess ill have to keep looking.

And i really cant wrap my head around Queen Beecon. (im slow)

After installing PR 1.3 my avatar has disappeared from SMS and has been replaced with "you". I still have the avatar.png in /usr/share/rtcom-messaging-ui/html but it isnt working. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Two quick questions. Is it possible to remove the "block" that blocks me from setting icons on the upper desktop?

As the picture explains, I cant move the icons higher, any hax/mods out there that can remove that "block"
And for the love of God, can someone be so kind and tell me where i can find the PNG for Desktop Execution Widget. (or is it some kinda config file?)

where did you get your font? i would like to have cursive as well...but it is not listed in the theme-customizer.
