Has anyone got this working for Meteor Ireland? I found what I think are the correct settings in an iphone thread on boards.ie, but I get error 111 when I try to send.

I havn't tried this as I'm not on meteor but from the boards settings it should probably be

* Connection Name: Meteor MMS
* Connection Type: Packet Data
* Access Point Name: mms.mymeteor.ie
* User Name: my
* Password: mms
* Prompt password at every login: Unchecked
* Use Proxy: checked (yes)
* HTTP Proxy: 10.85.85.85
* Port Number: 8799

* MMSC: http://mms.mymeteor.ie
* Resize image: 300
* Phone Number: (Your Phone Number)

If that doesn't work also try with
* Password: wap

got new error...
403 - forbidden

and some long stuff which i have no idea bout WAP and version... then it disappear....

Thansks matrim, I had a typo in the port number. I got a 200 response this time, so now I shall have to wait and see if it went anywhere.

Could you start /opt/fmms/fmms_sender_ui.py from the terminal and attach the output after trying to send a message in a PM to me?

This (usually) means that you are not allowed to use this MMSC - most likely wrong settings or not MMS-enabled account.

Just to be sure, please attach the output after running /opt/fmms/fmms_sender_ui.py in a PM to me and I'll have a closer look at the error message

Maybe it's time for an APN public database that can give hints to fAPN. Then, fAPN can monitor Presence on the dbus and configure or reconfigure accordingly. How happy would a computer illiterate world travel be if they popped in a SIM card and didn't have to do anything to make fMMS work.

i tried MMS. I will wait till GUI is available for adding mms APN either through configuration or through internet connections.
