I set resize to 0 and it seems that fMMS now sends video to server. So, the resizing problem goes away.

Unfortunately, N900 camera makes video with 0.5MBytes per 1 sec... Need some unversal way to resize it, even with lowering quality and resolution.

BTW, is it possible to NOT apply resizing procedure in fMMS for video files? Or any file which can't be resized - just send it as is. It is not good to reconfigure "resizing" field each time depending from message type.

Only image attachment code is currently in place - was working on getting basic send support first, which seems to be in now so I can start expanding the feature set ;)

I think I worked out what the problem I was having with o2 Ireland was. I was missing the proxy setting for the access point.

I've to do more tests and will post back to confirm and with the settings I used.

Is there a way to save the image \ file to a folder after you receive it in fMMS?

Currently no - all files are saved in /home/user/.fmms/mms/<transactionid> for MMS and the push messages are saved in /home/user/.fmms/push (as parsed plaintext)

Additional info - it looks like some people (depending from TMo plan) may need setup additional GPRS connection (via fAPN) with proxy server 216.155.165.50, port 8080 (or 9201 - different sources point to different ports). Because TMo blocks a direct Internet access for that people.

Use the usual wap.voicestream.com as "APN name" in this connection. Please don't mix it with APN in fMMS - that is different items.

Please read my message again, because I think you misunderstood it.

The observation is that MCC + MNC is insufficient to identify the carrier's WAP settings, so the strategy of adding more settings per carrier in /etc/operator_settings will not work.

It will work for some, but not others, and even when it works for some people, it fails for others with the same MCC + MNC pair.

Also reread my message to see that Symbian doesn't have a full list of operator settings. Instead they are sent to the phone by a special kind of text message when the network sees your handset with that SIM, although unfortunately that doesn't always work as intended either.

Just a little problem. The sender must use the exact nummer like in the fmms-settings. For example:
At N900 = +4917970.....
MMS to +4917970..... works fine
but
004917970..... and 017970.....(national) it doesn't work

i just noticed fmms 1.4 was added on garage.maemo.org. It works a little better but I still have not had any success in sending or recieving messages. I have actually recieved 2 so far but i think they were multimedia messages because it just comes up as a white screen.
