I just had to make one call to my oc'ed n900. Didn't even answer it(so rude)
Result:
> cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
600000
But according to Conky it's now reaching max 750 Mhz, my second highest speed.

This are my frequencies.
125/250/500/750/875

Just created a nice desktop shortcut and script to place a button on desktop to easily switch between 900 and stock if anyone is interested. Little bit risky though as had to edit sudoers file to allow all with no password.

That sounds right but im running 900mhz and when i make a call it goes to 900 but after 5 secs it goes down to 250 and stays there.

Could it be that the N900 running with an OC kernel became self-aware.. In this state it realizes its owner is trying to hurt it (or maybe just dislikes the company) and shuts down to the oblivious 600 MHz to save itself.

by the way, could anyone running 900 with stock dsp in the UK try iplayer??
PLEASE, click in the bottom of the video and select the middle icon which - plays in a separate window-.... preferably from microB, on wifi

With stock - please dont bother.. lol .. image comes 5 minutes after sound
I just flashed 900 mhz, it didnt play well...
I then flashed 900 with 500dsp... plays perfectly....

anyone experienced this/??

I've tryed Easy Debian with that "linux" image with this 900 Mhz (the process of download it, install it, running it 15 minutes), and all runs nice, not warm, hot temperature (That i can feel)..runing this lehto kernel for 3 days.. beautiful power :)

My N900 is running so smooth and cold with 900 Mhz, but I'm still a bit scared how long it will run until the CPU dies. :/
Don't wanna loose my N900 after a few months...

I wouldnt be too worried about that, Ive been overclocking all my computers for years and still none of them have stopped working because of that. Even now my gaming rigs processor is 2,4Ghz running at 3,1Ghz with stock cooler for 2 years :)

My Intel E6750, 2,6 GHz @ 3,8 Ghz is now running w/o problems for 3 years too xP
But I think its a big difference if I'm overclocking a mobile device or a desktop CPU with a big Zalman 9700 cooler ;)

yeh normal version... but make sure you play it in the separate window, otherwise its crap... thats what I noticed on mine. could be different
