That's all. Please confirm if this manual works.
Can't say I tried it but there certainly seems nothing wrong with the code. I've gone a completely different route and just used an ext3 partitioned MicroSD, saves having to 'optify' the code and means I can just plug 'n' play without xterminal (almost).

Alright so it turns out the first error I had with the libpdl.so is because I didnt run preenv before hand.
I got The Sims 3 to run but The Settlers tells me this(just pasted the bits that seemed like they were erroring)

Failed to initialize libosso
Home Directory /home/user not ours
PDL:Application asked for device ID, giving 0000
SDLGL: Called SDL_Quit

(I know I'm probably going to get shot down for this) But any help for our non-Pre owners? I had a Sprint Pixi on Ebay, but unfortunately it, didn't have Wifi, so I resold it. I would buy these apps from the Devs, but it just isn't possible. Is there possibly any other methods? Any recommended Palm app threads?

Lets not even get a whiff of this kind of thing if we can avoid it. The pre is cheap and it would be best if people bought one and used it to get the games.

oregon trail works, no cinematic & the graphic are a scratchy but quite playable

super ko boxing 2, not working (having wrong screen orientation & stuck at the opening screen)

When I run ./nfsuc. There is an error message: "eror while loading shared libraries:libSDL_cinema.so: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory".
How to solve this problem?

uhmm i'm sorry if i missed this, but how do i remove icons created by desktopgen? I accidentally created icons for some nonworking games and want to remove them... Thanks

Everyone who is getting that libSDL_cinema.so does not exist: you are doing it wrong. You're not running Preenv at all. You also should not run Pre applications as root (only desktopgen needs root!).

Possibly one of those tutorials over the web is wrong, or not emphasizing some step enough.

How you get Brother in Arms to work? with version and firmware you have? Mine is v1.0.7 in PR1.2 and i get

Hello.
I succesfully installed NFS and Sims 3 but i got a problem at installing Assassins creed. I hope you can help me.
Here are my steps:

sudo gainroot
cd com.gameloft.app.assassins
chmod +rwx assassins
preenv
./assassins (here i get an error message)
sh:./assassins : Permission denied

please help me

Need help, I installed nfs and sims. They works perfect. But I cant install games like assassins creed or tetris. theirs runing files are in other folders.

and got Need for speed to work but how did u get assassins creed to work? i couln't get it to work, got the same error message with Gangstar when I tried to install them. Something to do with it not being executable ( cant remember the exact error message) .

Any idea? And is assassins creed playable? ive heard because it has multi-touch controls it would be pointless on n900, dunno if this is true tho?

I think that you're not in the folder where the executable is so chmod doesn't change its permission and that's the fault you get.

im pretty sure I was in the right directory otherwise it would've said after the 1st command where I CD to the folder. I shall check it again.

ok just tried it again, and i am in the folder. I type in chmod.... command and it goes through fine no errors. Then when i try to generate the desktop icon that is where i get the error msg "Assassins is not executable"

any ideas?

you're not in right directory. you need to:

chmod 755 Assassins
exit #exits root, its not recommended run preenv in root

PR1.3 and i believe it was 1.0.7, but it is unplayable, because of the controls.

I done what you mentioned and I now get the error "Permission Denied" , tried it in normal mode and done it whilst I had done Sudo Gainroot but still the same error whilst doing that
