sorry if i am asking this in the wrong place, but i have been doing some reading and i am liking where the whole maemo thing is going but i am a complete noob lol.Now i love this theme (huge matrix fan) and i can download it and find and use the consle/terminal, i think lol.Just a couple of questions, do i need to extract this and if so how? and how do i enable root?.Again sorry if this is the wrong place or seems a bit stupid but any help is good.Thanx in advance.

You can find rootsh in the application manager.
You extract/install it via xterm commands, the how-to is in the first post.

any way to optify themes? Linking doesn't seem to work.

I am not sure about that. It needs to be a deb file in order to optify?

not necessary, optifying means putting the files somewhere else :) than in rootfs.

Right, tryin to use Xterm(first time, easier than i thought) but its telling me theres no file or directrory.I think i am typing it in ok.Do i have to type the -xzvf part?. sorry but i am a complete noob.

In what directory did you save the .tar.gz file?

Documents but i did change the command to suite this.Can't figure out where i am going wrong.

Try this one?

tar -xzvf MyDocs/.documents/matrix.tar.gz
mv /home/user/matrix /usr/share/themes
