[Maemo 5] Guitar hero for n900?
I guess this is a big no-no, but because i know it exists for other smartphones, I still must ask...
So, has anyone thought of that? Guitar hero? Wouldn't it be SO cool :o ? |
Re: Guitar hero for n900?
I found some links about Frets on Fire for Maemo, here, and here.
Frets on Fire, is an open source Guitar Hero clone. |
Re: [Maemo 5] Guitar hero for n900?
Nice!! I couldn't find any download link, not even at googlecode.
But it's good to know that there's something going on on that direction. Thanks! |

Hmm...unfortunately you won't be able to hit multiple keys at the same time on the screen. Hopefully it doesn't force you to use hardware keys to play this kind of game.

Guitar hero on a touch phone.. FAIL!
The only good thing about such an app would be the music. I'll stick with conola myself :) |
Re: [Maemo 5] Guitar hero for n900?
We could, quite easily, implement this :)

Pretty enjoyable. Hopbeat - do you know how to implement this multi-tuch? GTK or QT? It's quite logical, actually. Exactly the same manner that one-core processor emulates multi-tasking, resistive touch screen can emulate multi touch. The tapping is NEVER at the exact same millisecond... |
Re: [Maemo 5] Guitar hero for n900?
Well I thought a way for "emulating" multitouch.
Open Sketch and put 2 fingers on the screen. The mobile thinks you press between those two spots. So, when the applications need you to press in 2 places, the code expects a single press in between :) |

Do you have any experience with developing for n900? Just to make some sort of proof of concept for this... Also I've found some workarounds for resistive displays to emulate multi-touch, based on pressure, like this one. |

that game would be nice on our n900s ;)
