Kickstand - broken or not?
 

Hi folks. Just got my new n900. Very impressed so far. One thing I have to ask about though..... (sorry for the noobish sounding question) I only pulled out the kickstand for the first time yesterday. I had it sitting up on a couple of different surfaces, now today I notice that it is only hinged on one arm. Is it supposed to be like that- or has it broken? It seems to work just fine the way it is, but should I be sending this back for a replacement or has it always been like that and I just didnt notice when I first pulled it out?

I asked the same question. What kind of creep design a stand with only one arm :mad:

It should be hinged on both sides... at least mine is.

huh?! mine is attached with a metal pin on both sides..

those sound broken :(

Mine seems to be hinged on both arms, I'm not going to pull at it too much though

Mine is also hinged on both sides. Well, I don't use it very much.. Seems very breakable :D

Thanks for the replies. Might as well send for repair or replace or whatever is available since I only just got it. I'm SURE it must have come like that. Only opened it twice I think when I noticed it. Surely it can't be THAT easy to break

Given the kickstand is on the back cover, I would hope you could just get a new back cover somehow from Nokia. Got to be cheaper then sending the whole thing in just so they can slap a new back cover on it and mail it back to you.

There's an idea. I would be up for that if Nokia were. It would save doing without for a bit or having a new one sent when I've already started installing things etc.
