Lock Media Player with password
I want to protect my media from all people who look to my phone. But how to do that for example with a security code or something similar. Maybe someone have any ideas or knowledge, or had escaped me an application that can do something like that im searching.
Thanks in advance for all answers |
Re: Lock Media Player with password
if you just don't want people being able to access your movies, you can set the media player to NOT look in certain folders. There is a thread if you search that will show you how to do it.

Thnx azz for reply and Thanks for pointing out the topic...
Solved this problem by writing a shortcut menu using bash script with switching folders of images and videos on such a dot before the name (similar to hidden .bash_profile :). I added the icon switching this and probably nobody guess that should push it to see something. |

I know Gstreamer views a hidden folder by default though right? As I just added the standard video folder to my MPlayer list last night and it was a hidden folder. |
Re: Lock Media Player with password
An app that would do such things as lock contacts/conversations/email/photos/media player would be a great addition to many devices

Re: Lock Media Player with password
Im not hiding porn at my Device arghhh #$%^@
I have database copy on my phone from my Client (Oracle DBA) and own graphic design art files, like projects, movies, animation... That`s the reason why im hiding this files from other people -- If someone need it... Just download file from http://www.vsf.pl/share/swap-maemo.zip and do that... Login to root from Xterminal using: sudo gainroot Run command in terminal: mkdir /home/user/MyDocs/.images/Private mkdir /home/user/MyDocs/.videos/Private Copy Folder from zip to Device or upload files using WinSCP to your N900 Upload swap.png to folder: /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon Upload Swap.desktop to folder: /usr/share/applications/hildon That`s all, reboot your device After that You will see Application called Swap with icon from ActiveSync If someone want to rename shortcut, then edit Swap.desktop and rename line Name=Swap to your own It`s so simple... Im not dev and this script was perfect for me |

It is working very well in scratchbox. But on devices applications are prestarted by default...it becomes more tricky to detect when an app starts, is launched from a widget, a file etc... So i use it on my own device, whe eri manually disabled prestart... My app tried to edit desktop file but it needs root rights So i think i can't release my app on extras, i've no solutions... Here a view of the control panel plugin... http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/7368/sanstitreer.png |
