BTW, just double check - does it mean that HAM doesn't use /var/lib/apt/lists until it gets a right answer? In this case - why HAM doesn't get it but apt-get receives? |

Did you by any chance employ the repository relocation trick? This: apt-get -o dir::cache=/home/user/MyDocs/apt-archive-cache dist-upgrade from here It was also in the forums. That could give you dual caches. |

It looks like you hit the same problem (in different shape) - process gst-video-thumbnailerd went crazy. That process is started by system media player and it may consumer memory ... and CPU in your case. |

Re: Application manager broken
i have an issue about the same right now :/
i go to the app manager, but it does not even update and it ends up with a message: (no applications available). is it me? or the servers are down? if its me how can i fix it? :) thnx in advnace;p update: i've fix it :D i found that i was missing: /var/lib/apt/lists/partial when i was using sudo apt-get update so i used the code: Code:
sudo mkdir -p /var/lib/apt/lists/partialCode:
sudo apt-get update |
