I've gotten as far as connecting to BT and the controller responds with all kinds of keys coming on the NOKIA. But as far as mapping, I'm completely clueless. Where to put the fdi file and how to map is just beyond me. It's not clear in the forum and I'm assuming that you linux guys just assume we windows people know linux. Please help me set up the keys.

Sure. But what do you want to set up exactly?

Most games/emulators have key assignment menu. Go there, select the action you want to map, and press the button on the controller. This will map the action to the corresponding key. No file editing required.

hello,
since now impossible to connect my SIXAXIS
I posed this question:
accept the connection with the terminal? PLAYSTATION (R) 3 Controller

I click yes but nothing that passes

BT blue icon and the 4 LEDs will blink
Then yesterday I was playing with 2 SIXAXIS carefree and I've never had this problem since the beginning

thank

Re: Using PS3 SixAxis controller with N900

i have few questions and hope some one or smoku can answer, is there a easy way to install and set this up?

whats required ? I have sony sixaxis pad, windows 7(can use linux live cd if needed)

the app flashes kernel but does it show unknown version in "settings--> about"?

will it affect firmware updates?

also i have seen apps in extra devel, ps3pad and sixaxis are they for this app?

thank you

Re: Using PS3 SixAxis controller with N900

No kernel flashing is required anymore. The package in extras-devel is what you want. It's safe to install.

fazeman: edit your /etc/bluetooth/main.cfg and disable input.

.

Sixaxis Support is the app i download? so kernel module joydev is a kernel emulation?

the phone is asking me to back it up, so has any one bricked their phone with this?

reason i'm asking so many question is that i finally have the phone setup as i want it, not wanting to flash it.

cheers

Re: Using PS3 SixAxis controller with N900

"Sixaxis Support" is a metapackage with dependencies only. It pulls sixad, joydev module and X11 joystick driver. It forces a reboot after installation to enable new drivers. This reboot option prompts you to make a backup, but there are no files replaced though. It's completely safe - like normal reboot.
