isaac, i am not the best person to answer you but im pretty sure you dont have to flash your kernel (i didnt) just to use it. just install the sixaxis support for n900, write your n900's blutooth address on the dualshock 3, then sync them.

i just got it working myself today, i didnt do any flashing or access to sudo. (although the system told me that installing the sixaxis will update the system)

as far as compatibility, im sure nokia will always build on the current firmware to release a future firmware, and with linux, this will easily be fixable IF there be problems.

As far as I can tell there should be no compatibility issues with PR1.2 firmware.

I went to buy a controller on my lunch break, after two hours of troubleshooting and a little headache, my brand new PS3 Controller is now sync'd up to my N900 :D :D :D
I have no idea how to configure keys, but whatever, I let DrNokSnes and the other emulator map the keys for me.

I just have one question... The PS3 Controller shows connected on Port 2... is that normal? Will it ever be Port 1?

Yes. It is normal. It's a glitch, but fixing it is not worth the effort.

Yes, i have a fake sixaxis controller ( http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23767 ) and it don't work with Sixaxis and i don't understand why...
Pairing is ok, but sixaxis don't want this one.

Users reported that pairing is not ok. You have all zeros in. Try pairing again to check whether BT address of N900 is really there.

Pairing is ok until i deactivate bluetooth on n900

When i press on PS button controller, bluetooth icon appear in menu

dmesg when i pressed PS :
