I see some network timesouts in the log. That is quite impressive since the timeout is 20 seconds.

I wonder if it got too busy checking for new SMSs that it became unresponsive to your call request. I'm not even seeing any references to creating a Call channel though. I'll try and hurry up on the current release so we can see if it helps with your problem.

Uninstalled TOR earlier tonight, was going to reinstall, it wasn't picking up sms like it should.

But, TOR (Google Voice Plugin) isn't listed in app manager extras-devel. I don't see it listed at repository.maemo.org either.

Anything going on? Where'd it go?

Not sure what's going on. I think I've seen some messages on the -devel mailing list about issues but I haven't been following them.

I did look in the repo itself and it seems to be there:

Thanks. I was looking for theonering, missed it up in the telepathy section. Wouldn't install through app manager. dpkg in xterm showed unmet dependency on python-telepathy, which installed through apt-get ok. Then TOR finished installing. Deleted old account (same issues as going from 0.8.6 to 0.8.7.), et it back up, working fine now.

Only thing I had done was install callnotify and update simple brightness app. I've since uninstalled callnotify. Perhaps there was a conflict there.

for the last couple days, I haven't been getting sms from TOR. Last night I reflashed both firmware and memory, to start from scratch. I get maybe the first sms, then no more.

any ideas on toubleshooting?

In my attempt to make it work on my N900, I uninstalled TOR but, it's true I don't see the Google Voice plugin in the extras-devel anymore... I am not savvy enough to install it from my computer!

Well, it seems to be working now. Haven't changed anything, maybe rebooted once or twice. Anyway, very strange, for a couple of days there it wasn't working well, if at all.

I think some of the package issues are due to preparations for PR1.2.

I did just upload 0.8.8 which has an architectural change which provide a proper fix for reconnect issues. Expect it to have issues though as it took a bit of work to change over.

With the release of 0.8.8 and having no word on the status of a couple of bugs I filed to Nokia, I decided to go ahead and promote The One Ring to Maemo 4.1 Extras and Maemo 5 Extras Testing.
