Lately, this has not worked. It used to be that I would merely have to open the settings, wait a bit, then close. The last couple of weeks, though, I have had to disable, wait more than just a couple of seconds, then reenable. Just disabling and immediately reenabling doesn't work all the time any more.

This sounds like TOR is getting into some kind of bad state that is requiring it to stop/restart. To speed up reconnects TOR waits for 10 seconds of not being logged in before shutting down.

Is it a way to make the text msg I get from people to stop coming up as IMs?

What is it you are looking for? For them to come through the SMS UI? (isn't the SMS UI almost exactly the same?)

Are you looking for TOR not to display your SMS at all so you can use your cell service to respond or respond by email, etc? If its this case then in the advanced settings set the update interval for SMS to -1

What I'm saying if when I get an sms it comes the regular way than 2 seconds later comes as an IM from the same contact. So you saying setting it to -1 will stop it coming as an IM. I downloaded this so I can have my google voice contacts in my address and the option to dial regular or google voice on the dial pad. Which is something I needed. Still loving dial central app though.

I have this problem before. You have to login to you GV account and uncheck send sms to phone. cheer. Happy TORing.
ps. epage any update on autopickup or direct callout?

Hi, sorry I don't follow this thread costantly... I just got my N900 back from repair and lost all my contacts, but I still have some of them on Google voice.
I was trying to initiate calls from GV, but it seems to not be working
It starts the call, then says "Call Disconnected" but I never get the call back from google voice.

Is the feature just broken or is it just me?
