This forum needs new rules

I constantly come to this forum to find answers regarding maemo and the n900, but I have grown frustrated to find out that ppl almost always go off-topic and make threads ridiculously long talking about totally unrelated things; making it extremely difficult to find any piece of useful information. What is worse, it looks like the most 'senior' members are the ones who enjoy this behvior. I've been in other Linux forums and I can guarantee you that this kind of behavior is totally unacceptable.

For the sake of the quality of this forum, the following rules must be enforced:

-Impose a limit on the number of post on a thread
-Do not allow post that dont contrribute to the topic at hand
-If another topic/question arises; users should start a new thread for the new topic

I also believe that a new category for Q&A/issues should be added.

This is where most Maemo users come to get help. Let's make it easy for the fellows to get their answers.

Cheers,

herix1

No offense, but I really hope those rules are never put in place here.

You're actually right Tex... /me smacks own wrist.

I'll post on-topic then...... this right here is the only part of the OP I somewhat agree with.

And there is already a brainstorm for something just like this.... I just gotta go find it now.

New member complains about sarcasm-chains by old guard. Gets turned down by sarcarsm from old guard.

If nothing else, at least this thread delivered irony.*

*I'm sure there will be at least one brit who tells me that's not the proper use of word irony.
