One idea, though:
Is it possible to have the same vertical gradient on the desktop icon background as on the taskbar?
AFAICS right now the taskbar has a nice gradient (light at the bottom and top, darker in the middle), but the transparent icon background on the desktop is plain transparent.

Yeah, that's possible. Will update soon with preview.

EDIT:

If you want to apply the new icons you need to:

1) Transfer the two .png files shown below on your N900 Documents folder
2) Open xterm and type(you need rootsh installed):
3) Relaunch theme(or reboot) to apply changes

Thanks a lot, applied them right away.
Do not want to be picky, but could they be exactly the same color and gradient as the status bar? everything else looks worse, imho.

I used the same gradient. It's just that they are transparent which makes them look like that.
I am not sure if you can apply non transparent icons, but I will send a new version to you via PM to test it out.

Hi all just a little confusion here ..!I had download the Theme from 1 page to my device and it's in my document folder when I try to open it there is two choice to make ? App. manager or as_daemon ..so which one will be the right one ..sorry for the new guy like me just start to learn

The battery isn't changed by the theme. It requires you to edit a different file, use the search function to find the right thread I'm fairly sure the thread creator also made one for that.

The instructions is on the first post ... since its a .deb file, you will need to access the terminal to key in manually on the instructions...
