I have just successfully updated my phone to PR 1.INFINITY and it now comes with a remote control to remotely launch space shuttle and soyuz rockets. :D:D:D:D:D

I guess I will just go on a 2 weeks holiday in the galaxy.

What does PR 1.2 offer other than a bunch of bug fixes and a different looking virtual keyboard? AFAIK the video call support doesn't work with Skype...

I'm quite annoyed now it's not been released yet. I can't install aircrack and alarmed from the repos until they update it!

I'm not to bothered about the update itself - but that I can't install the apps! I hope it comes out within the next 7 days!!

Now I'm really starting to get impatient. Checking my device now at least three times every day. But I understand though that its better to wait rather than having some crappy update. I'm not complaining.

Sorry, but if you read the list of bug fixes and cosmetical changes (especially to and for the MicroB browser) you know very well yourself that isn't true at all.
Those little things like a true back button on the browser is something I really look forward to.
Little things like the Mediaplayer widget losing it's damn album art all the time annoys me greatly.
And so there are tons of other little details that I do notice and annoy me and thankfuly these will be addressed in the 1.2 update.

Of course, I can live just fine by waiting and this thread is just pure enterainment for me and a great distraction.
I already got treated with a fantastic "900mhz" update so I am already quite happy.
But the cosmetical changes and annoying little UI things and other bugs I run into daily are welcome addition as well when it comes to getting them fixed!

The list of fixes is so huge, it almost makes me feel uncomfortable knowning how much crap is not going so well inside that little machine at the moment.
I remember the major update with the N95 that suddenly improved the user experience so much and improved battery life dramatically. What a joy and relief that was. Almost like a new phone!
Then the updates after that indeed weren't as breathtaking anymore but still a nice addition.

Personally I believe the PR 1.2 update is something like that, and that after this the updates will have a much smaller need and impact on the device.

Well - Adobe just released "Flash 10.1 Release Candidate" (so still no final version (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/) - so there is a chance to see it rather soon on the N900 also. Already in PR1.2? We will see...

I would much rather have a working version of mobile backtrack than pr1.2 if truth be known, as it will be far more useful to me than any of the current bugfixes and new features

this is actually funny because when i had my 5800, nokia also caused similar delays with firmware updates and when the updates did actually come everyone was complaining.

so my message to nokia is take as long as you want as long as you give us a good update and it does not cause any problems

i totally agree with u man..i had the same problem with my nokia n97..update but then it appeared to have more bugs than before.

Well, I got bored waiting for Nokia to release the update. I stopped tapping "Update" every 5mins and started Farmville instead. Well, thanks Nokia.

Hope this new FW will be released soon. Btw I'm happy the way my n900 is...well...I'd be happier if it had the ovi maps free turn by turn navigator. Guess it's like the poet mick jagger use to say.."you can't always get what you want". Even if I'd have known it would not have the meego (maemo 6) upgrade, I'd have still bought the n900. Just the way the multitasking works, makes the device worthy of all my love...
