Can you ping the PC from the N900?
Code:

sudo gainroot
ping mananpc.dydns.org

But the ssh connection is timing out? Have you forwarded the same port on the router as you've set in the SSH config file (and the same as you've set in freeSSHd)? And do you have any firewall on the PC which might be blocking connections?

Well there's the problem. Did you set it to start the SSH server on freeSSHD startup (on the SSH tab)?

Either pick another port or find out what is using that port on your PC. You can use TCPView to do this. If you used port 22 then it should only be ssh using that (suggesting that you're running another ssh server), otherwise it depends what port you chose.

That's just freeSSHd checking for updates (if you see, the remote address indicates http). What you need to do is look to see what is in a LISTENING state, with the Local address indicating either "ssh" (if you're trying to use port 22), or whatever port number you're trying to use (if you're not using port 22 then can you please let me know what port you are using, otherwise I can't tell whether there's likely to be anything else running on that port).
