I don't have a Revo in front of me but IIRC it was very close to the same size as the N800, and a leather wallet case (with a phone pocket, too!) for the equivalent of US $5 would be absolutely ideal.

Thanks for this link.
I ordered one of these yesterday it just arrived and the 800 fits perfectly. My bluetooth GPS also fits erffectly in the phone slot. at £2.50 (+postage) its a steal.

It does look nice. Question: How snug is the fit?

I'm thinking: Mabe I can fashion (later, obviously) a sort of hard plate with a cutout for the screen and buttons and attach that on the inside. It depends on how snugly the N800 fits into the case (to much leeway and the allignment might get off).

It's a reasonbly snug fit - maybe 1/4 inch play at the sides. You would either have to remove the phone slot off the back or completly rearange the velcro fastenings if a window was to be inserted.

My idea was to keep the phone pouch (it's too cool to take it off) and either do without velcro, or change it into a magnetic fastening at the very bottom of the front flap.

Feh, I'll order one anyway. Like you said, they're just too cheap to pass by.
