I finally got my N800 on saturday I 'd been trying to get one since I saw it unveiled at CES. So far I really like it its everything I'd read and researched about it would be. I've really been wanting some sort of a portable HH for a couple of years now and have alot of research and I just don't think there is a perfect portable , laptop, UMPC, Windows Mobile phone, PDA, Zune, PMP, etc. It seems every tech company around the globe the last few years has been promising this "holy grail" of a HH but yet nobody can seem to deliver one, one that real people can afford and use. So far I've pretty much been able to do everything I've needed or wanted to do on my N800 and when I've ran into questions or problems I've ben able to resolve them either on these great forums, Thoughtfix, Maemo or a quick search on Google. About the only shortcomings I can see only after a few days of use are the serious lack of video codec support, especially for online playback. Also they should have an app like GAIM or Trillian as an IM rather then what's pre-installed, as these are much more universal. Also the RSS reader crashes constantly, I've added several feeds that do work fine but other feeds will just crash the app. I've installed many apps now after a few scratches of the head but once you get your repositories dl and figured out its a breaze. So far though I'm very happy with my purchase and I do hope that the development on this does continue.
