Your stand is starting to get all over the web too. Google is listing it and even Nokia Blog has it too or is that yourself?

I really wish you a complete success for this but please, please make sure you file for some copyright on this idea. I know it means squat in some places but I'd like to see someone make ome cash for their own idea!

This looks great! I'd like to order 1 acrylic and 1 (painted) wooden stand to the UK please - happy to be part of the bulk shipment if it saves some cash, equally happy to pay a bit extra to cover shipping.

I need to get through the present orders, but there have been 4 or 5 requests for black.

After the present orders all ship, and I get some feedback on this community-enhanced version, I'll see about doing some small custom runs like this.

fake, what is the latest update on the stands? are they still available for ordering? and what about he black acrylic ones? I'd be interested in 2 black acrylics...

also, I know some people will hate me for saying this, but I don't think the price is bad at all when taking into consideration that mailing these take time too...

I just updated the first post. Here is what I posted there:

UPDATE Monday 1:00PM:

Preorder/reservation time is OVER! Everyone who posted so far has a stand in production right now. :D:) I will try to finish them tonight, and I will PM you with a notification when your stand is done! I will have a simple online shopping cart for you to place your order/pay. For this set, it will take PayPal only. You can use a credit card through your PayPal account if you like. I will also take cash or money order by mail.

Don't worry if you missed the preorder. I will make a few hundred more and make them available for sale. It might take until Friday to get another batch done. I hope to get credit card processing set up by Friday.

As for black acrylic, it's gonna be a while. My highest priority is to finish these preorders/reservations, and they will be done tonight.

Then, I need to find a good local source of black acrylic and see how it works. Plan for a couple weeks at least.

Yes you can -- I have changed your order.

Don't worry though. The next batch will be done ASAP. Remember, I've only had like 3 days to develop, price, pack, and ship this product (the first version was good, but not good enough for me to sell to you guys), and I had a laser failure right in the middle of it!

Laser is currently working on these and so am I -- skipped my classes today to get them done!

Now I'm looking for a good local source of envelopes.

Hey all,

Here's the status.

1. Preordering is done.

2. I am completing the last steps of producing all of the stands today and tonight.

3. After all stands are complete, I will PM all people who preordered so they can order;

4. Then I will produce another batch, available probably Friday. There will be an online store (I'm finishing that tonight) where you can buy them. You won't need to contact me at all, it will be just an online store like any other.

Please hold tight while I get everything together! I am really working like crazy to get this done.

:) I haven't forgotten, but I've spend most of my time trying to get everyone's orders done.

The video has three parts so far.

1, I try to smash them with my fist.
2, I drop an aluminum block on them.
3, I break them apart like chicken wishbones.

I also have some comparisons of the new non-slip coating and stuff. Anything else you'd like to see?

Finally, I found a local source of envelopes. It might take until Wednesday to get them, but that means if I get stuff going, everyone can pay tomorrow, we can sort out details, and I can ship Wednesday. I'm sure there are some problems that will come up with shipping, but Wednesday is a good bet.

Believe me, I have put every possible hour, dollar, and effort into making these things really great and doing this right. I am sorry it is taking so long to get them done, but it will be worth it.

Don't be sorry. I think you have been remarkably fast considering that when you first posted here, the stand wasn't even final. I know you have already manufactured first set of stands, but IF it's possible i would like to change from 2 wooden to 1 wooden and 1 acrylic. If not, no can do.

How about a hinged version so I can fold it down and slip it into a pocket in my backpack... I think I'll loose the side pieces pretty quickly if I have to pop them off every time I travel, but this would look so great a the tray table!

But I am in for the combo set, one wood and one acrylic. Thx
