Re: Laser-Cut Stand for N900

Yeah, I don't mean to ignore anyone, it's just after the tenth or fifteenth time saying "I will ship anywhere!" including in the first post, I decided that it would be better for me to focus on getting the current orders in the mail and starting this over.

Again, don't get me wrong, I couldn't be happier that you are interested, and I would love to sell you a stand or ten.

So yes, I will ship anywhere! And I have sold three or four to Sweden already, so you're absolutely right. Cheers!

And thanks, Rob1n, for the thread-help when I was spread too thin.

Re: Laser-Cut Stand for N900

Don get me wrong but you shouldn't be so nice :) I do not know right word for this, but chatting and explaining this bit too much might not be good thing.

Some people just pop here and write their request and questions without reading thread at all.

I think right way to handle these kind of behaviour is to sometimes post simple post where you list things in really short way and do not try to be so kind, just informative. Maybe bigger font and other effects are good. Have some kind of template on your desktop or something. This list could also be on your first post. Use given tools for formatting.

Excellent work here!

And remember to go to school also :)

At least five I hope?

And moerderameise is in Switzerland! You know, the country doing chocolate, watches and money laundring. Not from Sweden. You know, the country with bikini teams and ice hockey teams. :)

/P - also amazed that people keep asking about shipping

People really need to stop asking "fake" such annoying questions. He's from Fargo. Don't you know what happens to annoying people in Fargo?

They end up in wood chippers.

Holy crap, my webshop hosting provider Shopify is being DDOS'd at the moment! I was wondering why things were so slow and messed up.

There's more at their twitter page, but I'm not about to link a twitter page here. :)

Re: Laser-Cut Stand for N900

Palleman, FYI, you'll be getting two packages because I can't fit all your stands in one.

fake 2010-02-11 23:10

Re: Laser-Cut Stand for N900

I took the packages to the Post Office to be absolutely sure that the electronic postage I purchased was correct. It was correct.

All pre-orders are shipped, save one, which will ship tomorrow.

I am taking the rest of the day off.

The store opens to the public tomorrow.

Cheers, all, and thanks.

Thanks Daniel,

Will make a little dance next to my postbox when my envelope arrives
as a tribute to your effort to produce, handle, pack and ship these huge amounts so quickly.

You must be really exhausted now :) hope you enjoyed your drink !!

Great news. Can't wait until store opens today :D

Re: Laser-Cut Stand for N900

The online store is OPEN!

Stock is a little limited -- 15 or 20 of each item. I will be making more acrylic and more wooden stands this weekend.

Orders made today will ship tomorrow. Orders made tomorrow, Sunday, or Monday will ship on Tuesday because the post office is closed on Monday for President's Day.

If your favorite item is out of stock, it will be back in stock on Tuesday.

Thank you, slender. I had forgotten to include "http://" in the <a> tags.

Nice idea! Ordered 2 through your shop. I remember 770 having similar idea implementation for a separate stand (add together 2 plastic pieces in that case), might have a few lying around at the offices.. Too bad N900 stand is so crappy ;)

Can't wait to ship these out tomorrow... I went to the post office again today and they offered me some good pointers on ensuring things get through customs/etc.

I am finding some joy in making the whole process efficient (which it currently.. is not).

Well concerning customs, I don't think they will even check small envelopes this value. You can mark them as a gift also. I have NEVER paid customs on items of less than... 40-50$ value!
But I paid customs for my N900 :)

Re: Laser-Cut Stand for N900

I marked all envelopes as "merchandise" containing one "stand for mobile phone", and a suitably low value.

Are they marked "Do not bend" or similar?

fake 2010-02-12 23:46

Re: Laser-Cut Stand for N900

No, but they are packed in bubble envelopes, with each individual part wrapped in plastic wrap and either taped together as a flat unit or sandwiched between a section of paper.

I sincerely doubt that any mail equipment could possibly damage them. I am confident that the strength of the stand materials and packaging are more than enough to get them through the postal system.

Re: Laser-Cut Stand for N900

I was wondering if it would be possible to make a stand that allows the n900 to be placed in a 90 degree upright position? Maybe a stand that has both 45 and 90 degree positions or even better; one that is adjustable to any angle between those positions.

Fake, I'm desperately trying to order 6 wodden stands (2 x MULTIPLE PACK!), but your store doesn't let me. It states that the item is currently sold out (with a :( smiley), hence I cannot add them to the shopping card. Is there a problem with the store or is this how it's supposed to be? I'll keep trying during the weekend and really hope I can get those awesome stands. I and two of my colleagues would be very disappointed otherwise. Cheers!

90 degree is possible. I am considering having a "custom stand" option where people can ask for specific features. But as you can see, I need to produce more "normal" stands before I can think about doing custom work.

Might be lucrative to make one that could transform into an N900...

Excellent.

I just ordered 3, but the total price came up to $30?

Best wishes,

It's because you ordered 3 individual instead of a 3 pack. When I get to your order, I'll refund you the difference.

GETS 'EM EVERY TIME! MUAHAHAHAH!

All orders placed before 1:00AM CST have shipped.

Here they are!

http://danreetz.com/for_maemo/orderss.jpg

Here's my snazzy new shipping station. Actually, it's made almost entirely of stuff I found in the trash, but it sure makes things faster. Now I have to speed up printing and putting the damned shipping labels on. Takes FOREVER.

Does anyone know anything about making Excel play nice with international characters? It keeps munging up addresses with umlauts and other special characters. I'm not about to ship items to addresses that aren't perfect... any advice would be most welcome.
