To make it simple, your username is found when going to your own profile page

http://facebook.com/YOURUSERNAME

If you haven't set a username ie john.smith or johnsmith1 then it will be a set of numbers.

Nokia Messenging & Ovi Contacts is roughly the same as Blackberry services (Mail + Messenger)
So does that make it the best device in the world now?

That was someone else who said it would make it the best in the world... but Ovi Contacts won't let me send messages to friends with Blackberry PINs.

not sure if it's been mentioned before, but...

i tried setting up facebook chat on pidgin on my linux desktop, but it only accepts plain text authentication. does that mean my password is being sent to the server unencrypted? that doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

does anyone know if it matters?

Hate to revive a super old/dead thread, but since it pertains to Facebook Chat xmpp, I guess it goes here.
Is anyone else getting lots of authentication error messages? I can't even use fb chat on my diablo anymore...

working fine with me. happened with me before. just restarted phone and it worked ok again.

I am not sure how on maemo4 I am supposed to set plain text authentication.

I got an authentication error about a week ago, and it disappeared after I logged in and out in my desktop browser. I got it again yesterday, haven't tried again yet.

I seem to recall reading in another similar thread that logging in and out did indeed help people.
