And I agree completely.. but complaining about it I don't think is going to anybody any good if Nokia has already made up their mind. That's why I stopped.

However, if they do find a way to run M5 and M6 apps on both M5 and M6 then whats the big deal about not having M6? If the new apps work we should be OK.. the biggest issue I see here now is the "bugs" that have been reported and are being said to be implemented or fixed in M6.. Those could be problematic - but only if that specific bug is a deal breaker for you.

I mean honestly.. even without OS upgrades... the N900 is the best device on the market for me. I can't get what I need out of the Nexus One.. even with OS upgrades. So while it is disappointing to think the N900 won't be updated OS-wise.. it's still the best thing for me ATM. I just can't afford it, unfortunately. Who knows.. by the time I can maybe M6 will be out and I'll decide for that one instead...

After, of course, I watch these forums for a few weeks and do extensive research on what it brings to the table..

Business users and N900? I think that there is probably many many many devices that excel on area of email/calendar/sync over N900. This is pure entertainment(freedom, audio/video, browser) as Ari Jaaksi wrote on his Blog about maemo vision.

NO, not the oil, but if you want built in "TomTom" GPS Navigation or On Star or Serious Satellite Radio Than yes you shouldn't assume you should double check and test drive the car before you buy it.

MS Exchange Mail Sync is a feature that not all smart phones have. So if your REQUIRE this type of email for work or w/e than you should check to see if it's on option before you your car/phone or w/e.

Hold on a sec gerbick.

My personal issue is with all the assuming that goes on, especially from certain incessant ranters. There are certainly enough new and unique aspects around this device that people really should take a bit of time and dig deeper than they would when buying, say, a coffeemaker.

It's also extremely disingenuous for anyone to say something as absurd as "oh it lacks [insert feature used by small percentage of the global population here], so the many other features mean absolutely nothing and therefore the entire device is useless."

and yet...

Oh, so if the BRAND new car is advertised as having "tomtom navigation", and If i see the hardware on the car, I assume its meant to work.....I am not expected to look around on forums and look for the software to make it work....

Just like I assumed the Front facing camera should work... its there, but does it work??.... seriously....

It works.

And some people have reported that it works over gtalk on some situations.

So you could say that it works but itīs now fully/completely used anywhere. Same applies to many functions on this device they "half" work.

.edit
For sake of your own credibility stop using multiple periods between sentences. ;)

lol its just like I have to write codes to the ECU to make the tomtom work:confused:. What about people who dont go on forums? they will never b able to use the camera..
It works over gtalk on SOME situations. there is no gtalk in uk:confused: and the "in some situations" looks like the tomtom will only work in London, and it MAY NOT work in Manchester, or Liverpool, or Birmingham...

I total agree, and almost every review that I'VE read prior to buying the device said something to that affect.

Itīs not being advertised and I already said that quite many things are half done. How many times these kinds of conversation have to be repeated here?

It fcking sucks monkeys *sss on many areas and is amazing on other areas.

You can wonder it's lack of basic functionalities on some of its basic apps till brake of dawn or you can really do something.
