And Any new phone/smartphone has these capabilities nowadays. and they r better in a lot of other ways... Theres nothing special about the "multimedia" bit on this phone... or did i miss something??

Never said it was "special". Why did you get rid of your old phone then? Seems like you had a good phone.

i said "special" because u said its a "Multimedia" phone but there is nothing which makes it a different multimedia device from others..

Its upgrade time...

To avoid a long-drawn out, circular discussion... my statement wasn't towards anything else other than the designation of what the Nokia N-Series meant.

If I had to explain what makes the N900 multimedia, then perhaps it's not the phone for you. I'll be 100% honest, it's not the phone for me. I require a few other things from my phone(s), in its present form doesn't work well enough for me.

And because a phone is in the Nokia N-series, it means simply that it'll do those things. Whether or not you're happy with your experience with it; up to you. I can say that while being impressed with the N900, it simply is not the phone for me.

I'd suggest other options. I am.

The media player on this device is as bad as a media player can be and there are tons of threads on this website to that effect. If you can find a £10 mp3 player it will probably do a better job than the N900 does as an mp3 player. So that is certainly not one of the N900's strenghts

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm tired of playing Captain Obvious to a crowd that's stubbornly blind and deaf.

Let 'em think as they will.

I think I've earned a friggin' N900 by now. I don't even own one, but I'm answering questions.

You listening Nokia?

Hmm. Accelerated h.264 video? Tv-out connectors out of box. Streaming video to internet. What do you mean by FB integration? Facebook? You got chat out of box and hermes from extras that pulls out nicely also stuff.

NOTHING incredibly new or amazing. Actually in my opinion I haven't personally found ANY device that would drop my jaws. Everything is **** until proven wrong. At least to me.
