so u walk in a (phone) store...ask what is the latest they have from a particular manufacturer buy it...walk out...and expect it to work the way the last one did?.... well im a bit different...i see a product...LEARN a bit about it...read up and see if it suits me....try it instore....get a "real" feel....and decide (thus test drive a car before purchase).... what bothers me is the fact that the OP was a member of this forum for a bit...so i think he had to see some of the issues with the N900 BEFORE he purchased....correct? people have just gotten too lazy to actually do some research before going for "the latest thing"....my other half uses the N900...is she a tech geek? no. does she love her N900? yes but she was going for the N97mini first but read up on the N900...had a play in the Nokia flagship in london...and asked a few questions BEFORE she purchased....(which i think is common sense....) and found out its shortcomings...yet she bought it...why? even with its limitations...she knew what she was getting into.....BEFOREHAND.... i do have a prob with people slating the N900....saying it lacks phone features....clearly nokia stated it was a tablet that can make calls...and NEVER the other way around.... and about the marketing? who made it a mass device? nokia? they again have clearly stated they never intended it to be a mass device..... |

I am sorry, but I was unable and unwilling to spend more money on going to the Nokia flagship store in London than the device costed. I had read about it for at least 37.5 hours before I bought it and I have a full time++ job. And I was rushed into buying one because my HP smartphone died. I could not have gotten more information than I did before I decided on a device. And yet it surprised me with blatantly basic features missing. And you know what?
I wouldn't have thought to try to change the ring sound for a contact if I had been in London. |

Blame the bloggers if you must blame someone, the rest of us mostly knew what we were getting. But generally, take appropriate responsibility for your bad decisions and move on. Please. Unlike my marriage, I thought the n900 was going to be a bad decision. I was wrong. Again. I should look at that. |

nokia definitelly mass marketed this device.....got to NOKIA USA and it blazes the front pages as the next best thing......i saw it has MfE and assumed I can get my corporate emails......i was wrong.....this device is useless to me as i cant get my email. |
