N900 in Brazil
 

Hello guys,

When you startup N900 for the first time, a wizard is opened to help you setup timezone and language settings.

The problem is because brazil is not listed in countries list and you can not choose Brazilian Portuguese as default language.

I have no difficult in understand english, so the language is not a problem, but I really would like to setup my correct timezone (GMT -03h00 / America / Recife).

Anyone can help me with this?

Hi,

Had exactly the same problem, except I'm in Singapore. Go to Settings->Date and Time. There you can change the timezone to what you want.

Update

With the update of 16th February, Singapore is now in the list. I can't see Brazil though...

E que tal usares as definições de Portugal? Sempre é melhor que nada.

Estou usando algumas, como dicionário e keymap do teclado para acentos... Mas, cá pra nós... São 'portugueses' completamente diferentes... :D E tem também a questão do fuso horário...

Sim, tens razão, heh. De qualquer maneira, como idioma e região, seleccionas Portugal e depois alteras manualmente a hora nas definições de Data e Hora. Penso que assim dá para contornares este teu problema.

E como é que a Nokia se esqueceu do Brasil? :confused:

I am from Brazil and it is not listed during the settings when you first turn on the device.

But you can set any timezone and then change later. There will be a worldmap map where you can move around using your finger/stylus to Recife. Most brazilian capitals are available trough this worldmap, even if they aren't listed on the initial settings.

Acho que não foi bem um esquecimento, mas o público alvo do N900 não deve estar no Brasil... Tanto que o aparelho só foi lançado em alguns lugares.
