These kind of threads are absolute bull***!

Considering the events over the past few weeks the n900 has a very bright future - If you don't what I mean then use the search box.

The people that seem to complain about the n900 even now are the people that constantly upgrade thier PC so they can stay "cutting edge".

You know the type:
"Waaaghhh! I just bought my PC. It has a 2.5 GHz processor. I just found out a new processor came out and it's 2.6 GHz but my motherboard is incompatible...Waaagggh (spits out dummy an throws toys out of pram)"

What is this elite PC used for?
Surfing the Internet, listening to music, watching videos and maybe a few games. (I'm being generous!)

These type of people seem to harbour an insecurity and must have the latest version of anything. Their elite PC is useless otherwise!

I know the n900 is not perfect and has some bugs but it is the first "smartphone" I have actually wanted!

Being happy with your device is a state of mind and not down to the manufacturer to wipe the drool from your mouth when you decide you are not happy with it.

My n900 is now invaluable to me - I use it for so many things!

I have a Linux computer in my pocket and yes I am pleased to see you!

If you have a genuine criticism about the n900 that's OK post away and we will have an intelligent debate. Mind you it's been done to death though.

For the record my criticism of the n900 is no host mode for the usb port and no reliable way to connect keyboard & mouse to it.

Apart from that I am extremly happy with my n900 - I use it for all sorts of things on a daily basis.

So please I'm begging everyone to stop posting pointless negative threads about the n900 - it's becoming very, very boring.

We haven't had PR 1.1.1 yet, which is a prerequisite for PR1.2. I was just having a moan about being left behind when everyone else is discussing how much better the device is for the update. There's no official source - the wiki just says "Not released yet" for PR1.1.1UK.

Don't mind me, I'm just grumbling.

I'm starting to think this forum is full of Apple employees in disguise starting up these idiotic threads all the time.

Inability to load your top up card and check your credit due to not being able to dial numbers starting with # or *. I would have thought that would be a very important element of a gsm device.
