just removed all my widgets, will try it out tomorrow morning to see what the results are

Yes it can be any widget, it just depends on how you've configured them.

Well, assuming he hasn't changed the default colors for BatteryGraph, a dark-red top-to-bottom highlighting should correspond to a 3G connection.

He probably has the connection settings' "Connect Automatically" set to "Any Connection", otherwise he'd have to actually sign off on it for the link to be established. Either that, or he installed some creepy app that bypasses this and "phones home" with alarming frequency.

I have uploaded a new version to the devel repository with a lot of new functionalities. See the changelog below.

Note : the shortcut "AutoDisconnect" is now available in Settings - Connectivity.

Wow good job. This is one of the most useful apps on my N900, saves alot of battery life.

It's not you. The problem comes from the Maemo Autobuilder which doesn't interpret the following code :
