Re: [Announce] AutoDisconnect - Automatically disconnect idle connections
Hi,
I updated this morning autodisconnect, ever since I cannot get a connection to the internet. The autodisconnect was not visible in the menu anymore after the update. I haven't tried with WLAN yet because I can't at my school, but the 3G seems to be not working. I removed autodisconnect and the problem is still there. I just keep seeing 'No internet connection. Would you like to try it again'. What should I try? [edit] Hmm... After a couple of reboots it seems to be working again. I'm still not sure what happend. |

To manage the application, you can launch the program 'AutoDisconnect' which is available in Settings > Connectivity. |

Re: [Announce] AutoDisconnect - Automatically disconnect idle connections
First, I have to say, great work man. I've been waiting for a semi-intelligent connectivity manager like this for quite a while (even while I was back using Symbian), and the whole "automagic change to 3G on data connection" thing is JUST love.
Keep up the good work. And about the "losing network connections", you're not the only one. I went through that myself a few weeks back, lost ALL network APs, cellular or otherwise. They were listed on the Internet Connections page but could not be found when I wanted to connect. I restarted quite a number of times, but the connection page kept giving me "no network connections". It was the main reason I reflashed my N900 for the first time. FYI, I just got through my 2nd (it was Titan's ver.28 kernel). And yeah, it happened AFTER I installed AutoDiscon. Any thoughts as of why? Net config database corruption maybe? Other things worth noting is that I was running Titan's kernel, Wifi Disconnect Status Applet and Modified Hildon Desktop at that time (not running MHD anymore). |

If it happens again, post on this thread the content of the log file /var/log/autodisconnect.log. |
Re: [Announce] AutoDisconnect - Automatically disconnect idle connections
I reinstalled autodisconnect. For now it appears to be working again.
I want to thank you for the great app. There is another plus point. I live near the border to germany and it might sometimes happen that my connects to a german provider. It would be a pity if my would be connected at that time. |
