not yet...but if meego dont work on n900 and nokia give up support for n900 within a year. im planning to be banned for simply expressin an opinion. ;)

It's worth remembering that the concept of 'Freedom of Speech' doesn't apply in a private place. If you come into my home you absolutely may not hold an argument. I have thrown visitors out for it. Maemo.org is not a 'public space' per se, and and the admins have every right to restrict what people say. Having said that. this is the laxest place I've ever been, I think.

The last place I used to hang out had this in their Terms of Use:

Here is my free self-expression:

Nokia delivered to me what they promised - a non-consumer device, which is rough around the edges and the 4th step out of 5 to a consumer device.

I'm unhappy about some parts of Maemo 5, because I think Nokia could have completed the process before release (e.g. long presses, no status bar in multitask or app view) and I don't see it as a big effort, just negligence.

I'm extremely happy about the N900 as this is my first smartphone I'm satisfied with. I am a smartphone user since 2005 (Nokia N90) - went through iPhone 3G, Android 1.5, several Symbian versions.

I think Nokia has messed up by not thinking about the Maemo-line and not taking care of the clear change plan, the upgrade path from Maemo 5 to MeeGo.

I did not expect so many applications already and I wet my pants, when I heard that Qt 4.6 is coming much earlier then I was expecting (Maemo 6).
Providing application compatibility between Maemo 5, Maemo 6/MeeGo.

I also expected that GTK will be officially dropped and I'll lose most of my fav apps w Maemo 6. Instead, GTK is part of MeeGo for compatibility. Very happy!

I blame Nokia for not being able to explain the Qt/GTK news properly and not making the biggest marketing out of this for current N900 users.

I wish Nokia would simply put MeeGo on N900 and cough up the expenses for maintaining a non-multitouch, resistive screen version until end of 2011. I blame Nokia for not answering this question already on Monday.

I am unhappy about Ovi Maps on N900, this is pure ******** (awaiting banhammer). However, if the April rumour comes through I will forgive Nokia due to giving me free voice navi.

I wish Nokia would now settle for MeeGo, so I could benefit from an ecosystem of not half-million devices (guessing?), but millions.

Nokia made me so happy w the MeeGo decision, that I'm spending my freetime (which I don't have) with learning Qt (I'm not a developer), adding wiki pages to MeeGo site and trying to explain to people, why MeeGo is the best thing for us N900 owners.

I heard from a few people before I looked over here. I sent a email to nokia yesterday demanding my case be replaced and telling them they have to recognize this as a problem and fix it in their manufacturing process. For those who said it happened in cold weather or after they had it for a week. I say, thats just when you noticed it. Although my picture makes it very hard to miss, if you look at yours this is very small and hard to see. Very Very easy to miss upon inspection.

I will post when I hear from Nokia this time and let you know what they say.

Has anyone had any luck getting this replaced from Nokia. I realize it may never cause a problem, it may never break and lose a peice of the case. But I don't want to find out a week after my 1 year warrany runs out.

A minor flaw on an otherwise awesome peice of hardware, I still love this thing!!!!

I swear to God all I could think of the whole time I was on the phone, was of those Helio commercials. I just wanted to scream (after correcting him several times) ITS NOT A PHONE YOU DUMB BA$%^&#..... STOP CALLING IT A PHONE!!!!!

Seriously, am I doing something wrong, I swear to God I was nice to these people, at least until they told me I was #$%^@, then I got a little snotty. I think sending this in during the holidays may have contributed to this, but other people dont seem to be having this issue.

I can tell you one thing, that warranty is useless without a lawyer.

Anyone else send to Entronix in MN for repair? Anyone got any words of wisdom?

This poll is about support NOT repair.. In other words I am not interested if you sent it in and it came back really fast and it was repaired. I am talking about if you had a problem with your repair process. For example if it was sent back unrepaired. Or it was gone for 30+ days and you contacted someone?

If they get it right its great, although I have not witnessed this myself. I have now sent in two devices, a 770 and a 6682 and took cash settlement after 5 weeks without 770 and I am now 30+ days waiting for parts on my 6682. They are just rude on the phone, they could not care less.

This problem lies squarely with Nokia, I am in a pickle now. Do I downgrade to lower firmware to save/use my SD card. If I do my touchscreen did not work properly on the last firmware, but at least it did not eat my card.

Nokia, hire some people who can actually QA these things, it appears there is no testing done before the release. I have to believe if they had run the new firmware for a week or two, they would have experienced the same issues.

Its one thing to have a problem and clarify it and scream about it and call Nokia nazi's.

It's another thing to make no valid points scream about the greatness of iphones, and scream nokia is screwing you when they are so clearly NOT.
