hehehe - there still seems to be the usual QT Scrolling issue - where sometimes it takes on a mind of it's own! - but as long ast the rest works :)

Hehehe - i should probably change the global one and add "- Global Version" - as long as it says 1.2 though ;)

For filesystem performance measuring, into Tools, see bonnie++.
HealthCheck could just run bonnie++ on different filesystems and then beatify the results to a nice looking table.

To have all different devices (+fs) measured, bonnie++ would run on:
/var/tmp (NAND)
/media/mmc1 (if microSD card is installed)
/home/user (eMMC ext)
/home/user/MyDocs (eMMC vfat)

Re: [Annouce] HealthCheck - Hardware/System checker for the N900

I have a constant crash of the application when it checks bluetooth.
I have to say that bluetooth on my n900 has problems: since weeks it does not activate without any notice of the failure. The only hint about a problem is when I start fm radio, because it says "cannot activate bluetooth/fm combo chip"...
I hoped your app could help me to determine if the problem is software or hardware related, but healthcheck crashes always. I started the app from console and this is the error message:

** Starting Bluetooth Service
Can't get device info: No such device
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/opt/healthcheck/healthcheck.py", line 1408, in <module>
ui.updateAll()
File "/opt/healthcheck/healthcheck.py", line 1252, in updateAll
self.updateBluetooth()
File "/opt/healthcheck/healthcheck.py", line 1036, in updateBluetooth
self.listWidget2.addItem("Bluetooth MAC \t" + s[2].strip())
IndexError: list index out of range

Hope this could help make your app better!

wohoooo! thats the aim! cut out 10 percent of the code! and it is a bit more streamlined. it is also alot easier nor for me to add stuff!

Thankyou very much for letting me know.

If anyone had the GPS reject, then always stay open error, could you let me know if this update has fixed it please.

Finally, how much interest is there in translatablenessnessness, now it should be quite easy for me to add translations.

hi Dr MZ
Please can you run it from Terminal?
When the application is run from terminal it will provide feedback and list out any errors.

1) Load X-terminal
2) Type the following and press enter
EDIT - ammending typo!
python /opt/healthcheck/healthcheck.py

Then let me know what is fed back please :)

I am having the same problem. The error is:

python: can't open file '/opt/healthcheck/python.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory

Strange because it is in the directory and all.
