Just getting the driver working (think I got it) would tremendously help me at work... and a condensed application with everything else i could need installed is a bonus.

As for new members here, I've lurked around here since the n900 came out. Never really had a big need to register until now though.

Edit: I can also confirm that injection is working once you load the modules from a couple pages back.

I guess if i want to get somewhere with more that one os, neopwn should be on the first partition, to use the automount feature, or how is neopw found ?

hmmm interesting, i wouldn't mind donating a few dollars to this, but $25? where's the donate $5 now and $10 when it's complete option? i'll never understand why people would set a minimum donation amount. Don't tell me there is that much overhead in accepting donations...

Just got back in town and finally got my Nokia messaging working so I have access to my email again. But the links did not work so I had to email them and now I'm waiting for an reply. So I can get started on trying to install this on my N900

A 4GB card isn't needed. If you were careful enough, you could extract it to a directory on your eMMC and run it just fine.

Hi guys,

Forgive me coming back on-topic:

As I understand it, some of my favourite packages are not in the main build, but should be possible to compile using the on-board tools:

Driftnet
Dsniff
Etherape

Has anybody managed to compile them and if so, do they work properly in promiscuous mode?

If so then I might just be tempted to jump in at this beta stage!

hallo all together i need help wich programm i must use grimwepa or airmon ng. I have neopwn but i cannot go in to my wlan to test. I read somewhere of needing modules but how did i use them or do i need something for airmon ng. thank a lot for your help

ps: note that the modules will unload when you reboot and you have to load it again, so make an script, if you dont want to type it everytime you reboot, thats why they call BETA.

when i go to chroot /.neopwn and I type: airmon-ng start wlan0, it gives me an error saying:
Cannot find /proc/version - is /proc mounted?

Any ideas?

I am having this same problem. I tried manually mounting /proc while inside the neopwn chroot, but that doesn't seem to let you put wlan0 into monitor mode as airmon-ng says it is unsupported (this is after insmodding the proper modules). Any help is appreciated.

to start monitor mode i'm using the following commands:

sudo gainroot
ifconfig wlan0 down
iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
ifconfig wlan0 up

don't mount via xterm, reboot n900, then open neopwn then go to syste control panel>Filesystem then click mount. it will work

hi every one.. great work all you ppl that have got neopwn to work.. i too have got it to work on mmc but am interested in putting this on an ext3 partition on my emmc. some one said this is possible but i am lost as to where to start. i have searched the forums but have not found anything. if some one could talk me through it or point me in the direction of a tut for creating this partition i would be most grateful.. thanks in advance.

I just start airodump-ng immediately without setting monitor mode. It will automatically set it to monitor mode.
However i must reset it to managed mode.

(I'm not using neopwn, only maemo with enhanced kernal + aircrack installed)

AFAIK, airodump-ng will put your device into RFMON, but won't create a destroyable VAP interface for you to use with any other tools. airmon-ng will.

got my 8_\ sd card today. anyone else had luck in installing and using. ive never used it before so not sure what to try really. beta obviously isnt fully functional but i dont know anything about it myself

i have to 8gb card ,and i cant get working ,i read instructions from this site ,about formating mmc in the phone ,and mmc goes ok for 1min ,and ,just go on /read only/ so im try nwith backtrack and gparted ,ext3 go normal format ,but when i try to enter on that sd ,they show me error about /whong fs type .....,

so i asking if can someone explain me how to format in ext3 with backtrack and put that tar.gz on my micro sd card
