Considering that the thanks for the donation promised not to spend it all in the pub, I can't really say that I'm surprised that a Saturday night release didn't go ahead. There's hope for the younger generation yet.

Well the reason I'm doing everything I need to do before I sit down and try and get this on my memory card is because Imma have to take off all the stuff on my 16gb card (thats 14gb of stuff on there) reformat the card. Than get the image on there and get it working right which I dont think will be a walk in the park. So after the gym and washing clothes and setting up my new hp touchsmart printer, than I can get started on putting neopwn on my n900. Just a busy day for me I guess :cool:

the email says that it will void your phones warranty... how is that? anyidea? its juss a patch right.. so how wil it void the warranty...

Gentlemen,

Any update on this, does anyone have it working? Is it absolutely necessary to clear out and/or format your SD card to get this version of NeoPwn working (I am not part of the beta, so I am unsure), or can you simply add NeoPwn to your already in-use SD card?

Well I finally got it installed. The kernel doesen't play well with multiboot so that had to go. I don't seem to have much success with injection though.

ok, so no one who bought the beta has made the injection work. I wonder why the creators haven't made a video showing the installation and the injection working on the beta version (I know there's a video showing the injection, but is a pre-beta version, not the beta)

Well I've now managed to successfully deauthenticate a client on my wireless network and capture a WPA handshake so I guess injection does work. I'll have to change encryption to WEP and see what else it can do.

First of all I got some error with untarring the w00t archive.

What I did in xterm:
-format mem card
-create .neopwn dir
-tar -zxf archive

I got a lot of errors on symbolic links
Also errors on already existing files

hmm, the only errors I got was when I extracted the files.tar.gz in MyDocs and It complained it couldn't preserve permissions/owner, so I redid it in root / and deleted files after. I had no problems with the other file. Are you sure your memory card is formatted to ext3?

my problem is to extract the tar to the memory took 3 hours and still nothing. i'll try to do it in the pc.

To format the card I did the following in terminal on the n900:

sfdisk -uM /dev/mmcblk1 << EOF
,,L
,,
,,
,,
EOF

then I typed:

mke2fs -j -m0 /dev/mmcblk1p1

Then I mounted the card and copied the larger of the two files there and extracted it.

Is used mkfs.ext3 trying it all over.

Any luck with injection? I can still only manage to send deauth packets. Not had much luck with other attacks on WEP.
