Done, check it out and correct any error you may find.
I've found these main issues:
- if you select a non working xscreensaver theme, sometimes you need to turn off and on again the phone to change to a working wallpaper
- each theme that needs images does not work (black wallpaper)
- sometimes "/BIN/SH: XSCREENSAVER-TEXT NOT FOUND" message appears

Hi!
I uninstalled the old version and installed the latest. When i go to settigs panel the settigs from the old version were keeped.
Where are located the live wallpaper installed files to remove completely the application and install a fresh copy?
How to remove completely the Live Wallpaper cause the uninstaller leave some files behind?

I can to receive only two signals from hildon-desktop - 'view is visible' and 'view isn't visible' .

What do you mean? Wallpaper play/animate only when desktop view is active.

The issue with the text I addressed earlier in the thread. The file /usr/bin/xscreensaver-text needs to be edited. the first line should read /usr/bin/perl as a path - not the existing reference to the scratchbox location.

You remove phospor from the package. I have posted at least 2x in this thread how to fix the issue with text based screensavers. look back a couple of pages. Don't remove the option.

Hmm. This is the strange error. Please deinstall xscreensaver using
dpkg -r xscreensaver and install it again via Application manager

I have used Faster Application Manager to install it several times but I had to fix those problems with X-Terminal.

We just uploaded to extras-devel the new version of Xscreensaver - xscreensaver/5.11-1+maemo6

main from changelog:

* Removed themes: apple2, blitspin, cosmos, electricsheep, extrusion, fireflies, fontglide, goban, noseguy, sphereeversion, vidwhacker, webcollage, xanalogtv, xaos, xdaliclock, xjack, xsnow

* Fixed problems in themes: decayscreen, distort, ripples, rotzoomer,
slidescreen, slip, spotlight, twang, zoom
* Changed icons - big thanks wazd for that

And we have updated wiki page Xscreensaver

would still love to see multiple homescreens option ( I own 7 desktops) and a the option that a still of the video remains in the desktop....
The black screen for seconds I don't like...

About more than 4 homescreens - It's possible, but we need time for it.
About video - It depends on memory usage. Each video stream eats 12% of RAM. We have compromise. We unload video if it deactivate more than 20 seconds. Loading of video is very long(You see black screen in this time).

Changelog:

* Fixed problem in parsing of xml files
* Updated Finish and Russian translation

* Done native background in theme Accel
* Restyling. Thanks Wazd for it.

Settings of LiveWallpaper is a control panel applet, isn't application, that is why you can't add its icon on the desktop. If you know how add any control panel applet's icon to the desktop, please tell me.

Just one thing when using Theme Accel is it supposed to run over the top of your existing wallpaper because mine does and i'm sure the last time i used it, it played over a black background?

In LiveWallpaper version 0.8.5 theme Accel displayed over your existing wallpaper.

I noticed that and whilst I do really like this, the pretty colours didn't go with my deep red plastic wallpapers so used F2thak's modified one from here. This looked good but still not quite what I was after so did my own modifications using the deep red colour scheme and now I am very happy. It aint perfect yet (left a bit of grey on some of the ribbons) but will post some screens tomorrow if anyone is interested.

hi i have recently uninstalled live wallpaper but I still keep getting the icon appearing in the settings menu for a few seconds then disappearing.

I know there is a command to refresh the devices memory of the icon images or something like that but I cant seem to find it.

any ideas?
