Being Lazy...Accelerometer Question (QT/Madde)

Hi All,

As the saying goes - I've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas.

I want to add accelerometer support to my app. Basically to detect movement in a cyclical manner, think pedometer or the like.

I have found out how to access the accelerometer data file and I can set a timer to sample it, but I need an algorithm to use to take the sampled values and make sense of them.

Anyone got a clue how to do that?

Thanks,

Shep

I too am looking for something like this...I would really to make an app that uses accelerometer data to translate sleep cycles to wake the user at ideal time. There are several apps for other phones that do this (sleep cycle, happywakeup). Any help would be great!

Take a look at this post that I made last week:

You could try adding questions to the post if you needed more information.
