Install bash?

where can i install the bash ?
I found this link http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2006/bash/ but not the installer

i have nokia n900 and maemo 5

i dont think that bash is installed because i type bash and it gives :
-sh: bash: not found

hmm maybe i'm wrong but i thought the busybox was a cut down version of bash...

When you are root (sudo gainroot after installing gainroot) you can just install bash with apt-get. It is in the default repository (apt-get install bash), but it seems not be optified for some reason.

This has been discussed over and over again. The popular opinion seems to be that forcing users to install debs using dpkg will weed out the newbs clicking on trojans without impacting normal people. I agree, others don't.

OS2006 only runs on the 770, you probably want http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...b-26osso7+0m5/. It should be installable with "apt-get install bash" as root.

i activated the root access but i cant install bash as the catalogue of nokia is (?) down
