Re: [Annouce] uRemote
Tried solutions to the error; "There was an error connecting to the server: Host requires authentication".
- Ports open on Win7 Firewall - Ports opened on router - Correct ip address (on the same subnet) - Correct username/password (including correct capitilization of both pwd/user) Any suggestions? |

Re: [Annouce] uRemote
uRemote 1.0.3 is now in extras-testing. You can vote for it here. Most of the changes are bug fixes relating to the new PR 1.2 firmware, so if you haven't had any problems with it you don't need to (and probably shouldn't) upgrade.

Re: [Annouce] uRemote
Mine doesn't work. In both browser and app, I get /gui/?list=1 as "invalid request". Browser works if I request "/gui/" instead. Clues?

Is there any way to get rid of that URL parameter so the interface is accessed in a way that works? |
Re: [Annouce] uRemote
OP still lurked around about 2 weeks ago AFAICT. Maybe we'll get our fix. Maybe we won't. Anyway, it's broken. Off it goes.
It still has 4 thumbs up in -testing. I'm assuming it did work at some point, maybe with an older version? |

Re: [Annouce] uRemote
It just gives this error when I'm trying to connect:
http://hosted.laasonen.net/Screensho...919-020544.png I'm running µTorrent Server alpha (3.0 build 21886) under Arch Linux. |
Re: [Annouce] uRemote
Yes, that's the error a couple of others (including me) have mentioned.
If you try the URL with a browser you'll see that the problem is that URL parameter. Without it it's possible to access the web interface. So it might be possible to correct it by stripping the parameter from the URL of incoming requests but that only treats a symptom and doesn't guarantee that uRemote will work with the rest of that version of the web GUI. |

Apologies for the level of ignorance in this question but most people in this thread are showing their IPs as xx.xx.xx.xx (four sets of two digits) however the IP address returned for me from www.ip-adress.com/ is xx.xx.xx.xxx (3 digits at the end). Is this okay? |

Re: [Annouce] uRemote
Did anyone manage to find a way of getting around the "socket operation timed out" error for this?
|
Re: [Annouce] uRemote
You would need to change "Preferences -> Advanced -> webui.token_auth" fo "false", but that token is there for a reason!

I've managed to get this working. Connection is a bit flaky, but that may have something to do with BT consuming maximum bandwidth.
The only issue I've got at the moment, other than the connection, is that when I click on a torrent to view more information (ETA, Remaining, Peers, Seeds etc.) the displayed information is being clipped. Each character has its top and bottom cut off. Torrent name displays correctly. In the screenshots posted in the original thread, the display seems a bit more spaced out. Whether this is due to a change in PR1.3, I don't know. Heres a screenshot of what I'm getting. Torrent name removed. |

Re: [Annouce] uRemote
Unfortunately, the bulk of my torrents are downloaded via my PC running Vista. The netbook is running Transmission under Ubuntu 10.10 but that hardly ever downloads anything.
Display probably just needs spacing out a bit better. On a positive note, connection seems to be a bit more stable at the mo. |
Re: [Annouce] uRemote
Despite trying the suggested solution for the "socket operation timed out" error that others have also encountered, setting the "webui.token_auth" to "false", the problem still persists. Has anyone another idea?

Re: [Annouce] uRemote
I'm have the same problem as Android_808. It seems to be caused by these empty spaces:

Re: [Annouce] uRemote
Hi, This thread looks kinda dead, but will try anyway. Is there a way to move jobs up and down in que using uremote? I know that the WebAPI would allow it by using h.o.s.t.:port/GUI/?action=queuetop&hash=[TORRENT HASH] and alike... It doesn't seem to work for me in MicroB :(
Could someone out there using utorrent enlighten me up please? I don't wanna fire up VPN every time I just want to push something up in the que. Thx in adv. |
Re: [Annouce] uRemote
Hello,
I can't connect at all - after setting the username and password i got a message: There was an error connecting to the server: Error downloading http://192.168.1.102:8080/gui/?list=1 - server replied: ERROR http://192.168.1.102:8080/gui/?list=1 doesn't work on my computer either, but... http://192.168.1.102:8080/gui/ does. How can I solve it? I'm using uTorrent 2.2.1, but I just tried with 3.0 as well - same message. Any ideas? |
