Re: doing "enter" without keybord out ? on url bar adress
i don't understand. you can use bookmarks or little arrow besides url bar to select visited urls and all of those work without enter. and for writing to url bar you can use ui keyboard which needs to be on from settings.

If you double tab on the url bar, while the qwerty keyboard is inactive of course, the virtual keyboard will popup and you should be able to “enter” from there.

I dont think thats what they mean X61. When you enter a web address, (www.google.co.uk) pressing the 'enter' button on the onscreen keyboard takes you back to the mainscreen (image included). Its from THIS point we then want to visit that URL - WHICH button then becomes ENTER? |

Enter works fine from virtual keyboard? You press the enter key, same as you would on a normal keyboard and it works? I use it for entering web addresses, search boxes etc

Re: doing "enter" without keybord out ? on url bar adress
Pressing Enter (as opposed to close keyboard) works for me too. (I haven't had the firmware update yet, my n900 being from the UK).
In case it's not clear; 1. go to web 2. click on address bar (on screen keyboard opens) 3. type url/search 4. press the enter button (to the left of the backspace button) 5. The on screen keyboard closes and the web page/google search opens. Cheers, Ben |

Yes this works for me as well with latest firmware.
Make sure that you actually click the enter button and not the button to close keyboard. Enter button is the small button underneath the text box next to the backspace button. |

.......that looks like a typical 'Return' button! arghh! so those of us getting wrong are pressing the TOP Right Button which is infact 'Enter and Close'. and the 'Enter/GO/Search' button that we are looking for is above the i and o button. MUCH BETTER - NICE1 |
Re: doing "enter" without keybord out ? on url bar adress
works for me.
i click on the url bar and the virtual keyboard pops up. then i enter what i need and push enter, then the virtual keyboard goes away and the website i entered is being loaded. |
