You may not know, or may not be allowed to comment on this. But what device-wide integration is planned in terms of application stores? I guess the closest comparison would be Android right now. If you buy an app in the Android App store on one device, and you switch to another device I think all the apps are transferred since they are tied to your Google username. Granted any company or user can start their own App store but few do since this type of functionality would be left out.

What happens in Meego? If a user buys apps, games, whatever on one device, will the user be able to transfer to another device (assuming QT compatibility)?

Good question... we all know about Ovi. But what about the non-Nokia Meego Handsets? Will there be a consolidated store for handset Qt apps?

If not, and the vendor-bring-your-own-shop system prevails that would be a BIG mistake.

-1 for Ovi services. I don't use any of them, and my mobile device experience isn't lacking as a result:

Mapping? I use supl.google.com for GPS, Google Maps Mobile via Fennec, and Google Street View via eCoach (for running)
Push Email? I use Exchange ActiveSync & Imap directly to my numerous email servers
Music? I sync my iTunes library via Nokia Multi-Media Transfer
Sharing? I use PixelPipe to publish to various social-media platforms
File Sync? I use Grsync
App Store? I get all I need from App Manager and the repos

Unless I'm missing something else that Ovi provides, it adds no value to me.

I would be in the same camp. Personally, I think I am much more interested in a minimalistic "vanilla" experience where I can add on the software and services as I see fit. Particularly if I'm interested in using such a device in a business.

That's a big if, right there. Right now, it just spams me about 'Apps' I'm not interested in, to run on devices I don't have.
