thats a good idea mate, wish someone could find a way to double the amount of frames from 8 to 16 tho, mite look a bit choppy with just 8, ill give it a go tomorrow

Can i have one with "Rhuen" and a other one with "Alex"?
Have the N900 with Standard Mhz but with 48GB.
Nice works.

And when you will your favourit and best boot screen without name :) only with Maemo5 or N900 or what ever a neutral screen :)

I would like to have an Ubuntu start-up video to compliment my Humanity-Ubuntu theme. I'm interested in the bootscreen for 9.04.

Could I capture this myself somehow?

EDIT2: Okay I dloaded that clip from YouTube, even got the bootsound attached to the video. Made it an .avi, 800x480 size but it won't play on startup. What were the requirements for the video again...? :)

ever since i installed 1.2 the default thing (always been using that) is acting wierd. on 1.1.1 it would go from left to right and back. now it's all over the place. anyone have this too?

By default thing do you mean the indicator lights that come on before the boot screen video ?

If you do then yes they do come on in a different pattern under PR1.2 then they did in PR1.1.1 I noticed it straight away with the OTA update however since I reflashed PR1.2 onto my phone that behaviour has stopped. I have since changed to some of Leetuts icons and the pattern reverts back to the same format as PR1.1.1

it may be easier to post how you are doing this to save yourself all the work and time doing them all.


for the life of me, i cannot figure out how to make it look nice on my end.

i have tried ripping videos from youtube and then converting, but they either end up too big, or dont fit the screen completely and are of poor quality! :/

already said numerous times mate, using adobe after effects to create these videos, most are from pre-made projects i find on the net, anyone can do it

vids from youtube need to be the highest quality you can get, and convert them using the converter i uploaded above, with those settings
