I'm new to unix ad just picked up a N800. I am trying to load the fmradio
and consistantly get an application failure. " Application packages missing: libosso-help0 (>=2.0.8). Would anyone know how to get around this or where I can download the 2.0.9-1 deb file? Tony:confused: |
Re: N800 ibosso-help aplication failure
Are you installing via application manager? Have you added any repositories to your application manager? If you do it, installation of pretty much everything is a breeze.

TablaRasa, This unit is right out of the box. I'm using the application
manager and I have not added any respositories. I have added the oss xterm, and the fmradio.deb file was downloaded to a memory card and transfered into my documents folder. What would you suggest I do to enhance this toy ;-) |
Re: N800 ibosso-help aplication failure
.deb files are difficult to install because of dependency issues. My sucess with them have been 50/50 at best. It is best to install via repositories or .install files witch seem to add the required repositories for you.
You can get .install files by browsing (preferably with your n800) to http://downloads.maemo.org/ and the FM radio program can be found here: http://downloads.maemo.org/multimedia/ Edit: After you install it you can run it by clicking "Home" (top of screen when no programs are running,) then "Select Applets..." then "FM radio." |
