where's the qf file?
"
I confirm my method works: HOW TO MAKE NOKIA MAP LOADER WORK IN WIN 7 64-BIT ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Find the .qf file in the root dir of the n900 phone's flash memory 2) Make a copy of the .qf file, and rename it to "qf" (without the dot in front, unhides the file) in the root dir of the n900 phone's flash memory 3) Make another same copy of the file named "qf" and put it into the root dir of the sd card as well 4) Use the n900 in PC Suite Mode with Nokia Map Loader " i fail to see .qf or qf file under N900 or SD care dir... |
Re: where's the qf file?
Files beginen from point is hidden. What you need - run in terminal next command:
cp /home/user/MyDocs/.qf /home/user/MyDocs/qf |
Re: where's the qf file?
First, are you using the N900 itself or a computer to view it?
The N900 will hide everything other than MyDocs (also called N900), so you won't see anything unless you use easy debian. Under windows, you need to turn on hidden files (Tools > Folder Options > View > Hidden files and folders > Show hidden files and folders) in order to see it. Under Linux, (and also Mac OS, I believe) you can just press Ctrl(Command for Macs) + H to show hidden files. EDIT: Ah, gLobster beat me to a reply. What his command does is makes a copy of ".qf" called "qf" |
Re: where's the qf file?
I use windows 7 to view the disk "Nokia N900"
but there are only 2 folders ".modest" and "DCiM" I have already showed hidden files and folders |

Re: where's the qf file?
I think Fargus means create, not eat.
