Re: Play Station Portable
software sells hardware.
if there are enough games that you would buy, then go ahead. it wouldnt be worth it for just 1 or so game. |

Re: Play Station Portable
I had a PSP for a short while and spent most of the time messing around in homebrew apps. The one redeeming quality I saw over the DS (which I also mostly used for homebrew) was the ability to emulate MAME (namely, marvel vs capcom at full speed). I contemplated pirating a game or two to see if getting a PSP was worth it, but upon searching, I realized there were like, 3 games which I considered worth playing, so I just gave it back.
DS lite + flashcart is the way to go imo. All of your basic emulator bases are covered(short of GBA), you can fit all of your games on one microSD card (as opposed to two or three large games per PSP memory stick), and I've always personally found the DS lite d-pad and buttons much more comfortable than a PSP. DISCLAIMER: I don't pirate (rather, I do not outright steal games), pirating is bad. If a developer spends the time and resources to produce a game, you should rightfully do your part towards compensating them. This is not a topic for discussing piracy and I would rather not go through the effort of internet-arguing with someone about morals. |
Re: Play Station Portable
What branton said..
DS platform also has LOADS more games releases than PSP. Though I think PSP games in general has higher production quality and is more like (full) console games rather than the games on DS platform. But it all boils down to what genre of games you like the most. If you like more variety, then the DS would give you more bang for the buck.. it has plenty of casual games and the gameplay mechanism are much more varied than PSP due to its multiple inputs (touchscreen, camera, microphone, keypads). If you want a PS2 in your pocket, then go with PSP. |
Re: Play Station Portable
Thx for the help guys. But it looks like i`ll be buying the PSP because of the quality of the grahics when it comes to gaming, and the titles available for it.I really liked God of War,Resisstance Retribuition and several other games on the PSP.The DS looks like an awesome console but its just not the right for me.
