Trying to use N900 for GB games
Hi all :D
I have just registered but it seems I am unable to access games. I get the folowing message Note to new users If you just created your account in garage.maemo.org, try again in a few minutes.Thank you. Also note that while garage has case-insensitive usernames, here the usernames are case-sensitive, try using all lowercase. I have downloaded the VGBA application successfully but would like to know if I am able to download winzip files onto my N900 that end in .nds from a site that I am a member of? Or do I need to download direct from this site? Is there a Winzip application available for Linux? I am sorry if these are really 'newbie' questions but I have tried to help myself but cant find the answers :o Would also be great if someone can tell me what version of flash I need to download from Adobe? Many thanks - sorry found a post relating to this. I will check it out Zan |
Re: Trying to use N900 for DS games
VGBA is for Gameboy Advance games, not DS games

Re: Trying to use N900 for DS games
what he said
plus search the app manager for zip. you will be able to add unzipping files to the filemanager this way. :) |
Re: Trying to use N900 for DS games
Ahhh, Thanks Horus for pointing that out ;) So my next question would be do I just download from the games section and then open with the VGBA app? Obviously I would purchase the game aswell.
Thanks Zan |
Re: Trying to use N900 for DS games
I'm not sure if the N900 is able to emulate DS games, still the DS is based on a slow ARM CPU so it might be possible.

You can download DS games too, but you can't play them on your N900 as there is no DS emulator yet. |
Re: Trying to use N900 for DS games
Thank you Crogge and Keir for your replies :0
If I want to try DS games do the DS files ned to end in .nds to enable them to work? Is there a winzip application available for the N900 or an alternative? I managed to sort out the games download. I was following a dead link from about a year ago but have now managed to download a couple of games and all working fine. Many thanks |

Re: Trying to use N900 for DS games
well, i got pokemon diamond running at a strong 12fps @ 1.1GHz, although it never showed anything more than a white screen
i'm pre confident that with suitable optimisations we could get ~30fps |
