hi Matan,

let me first tell u dat dis is a awesome project n u r a genius, congragulations for such a great project, well i am writing because i have 9 active desktops on my n900, i got my phone in august and aftr dat i was using 9 desktop on my phone but at dat time i installed the older version of hildon desktop and hildon home and at that time i was able to see only 5 desktops out of 9 in manage views then after the release of PR1.3 i updated my phone where i lost the 9 desktops and i went through this thread again and got the nine desktops back as i installed latest version(i believe) of hildon home and desktops but then i installed couple of softwares like DOSBOX and shake and surf and then i realised that i lost my extra 5 desktops, so i went to your repository and did the coding to get the nine desktops and got them back but my concern is now i am not getng 9 desktops in my manage views so can you please help me here to get that back in manage views. also when everythng was working fine with 9 desktops my phone use to freeze and use to get message as "hildon-home has stopped responding, close the application?" jus mentioned it thinking if dt wud be of any help for you, would appreciate your response....also i forgot to mention I am n newbee to linux an not at all aware of much coding

dear bro most easy way to set wallpaper to extra desktop screen............

download cuteExplore

then open this cuteexplore

click on top where cuteexplore is showing
drop down menu select show hidden files...........

then go to
/home/user/.backgrounds

paste in this folder which wallpaper r u applying......

nd rename those wallpaper to background-5.png
background-6.png
background-7.png
background-8.png
background-9.png

hope ur desktop has been change....

Can anyone tell me why i cant add more home desktops? It worked the last time i tried it. But after i pulled out the battery to my phone, they all were gone. Now i cannot re-add them back. =_________=" Please some one help me....

where has desktopplus gone? I can't find it anywhere and only the i386 version is listed on the package page.

I spent a lot of time looking for Desktop+ just now, with no success.

Maybe Nightshift knows.

For me to have my 6 Desktops, I used;

1- Modified hildon home from Matan
2- Homescreen selector widget

With the 2nd I managed to put the check-mark on the rest of the screens I want.
Also if it happens to not appear on Manage views. Then I reinstall the hildon-home .deb 0.3.66 , which I know is outdated but when I reinstall it, I can view on "Manage View" the rest of the desktop, and check them.

EDIT: I did a Reboot after reinstalling the hildon-home. Then the other desktops appeared on Manage view.

I tried installing that package but Application Manager giving me:
"Unable to download 'desktopplus'.
Application package not found"

Anybody else know what happened to Desktop+ ?

Well i managed to extract the zip file using unzip command line. Nwo when i try to install it, oddly nothing happens. After the progress bar reaches 100% in the preparing install segment, then nothing happens. It does not get installed.
